I don't recall the things OP is worried about happening with the dwarves in FFIX. They were a little odd with their endearing and unique culture to be sure, but I don't think there was anything that could have vaguely been offensive to real people with any form of dwarfism. There were funny moments interacting with them but it had to do with their traditional customs.

And yea lalafells' stature is VERY rarely mentioned, directly or indirectly, in the game. Npcs take them as seriously as the taller races. I think their size is only referenced where it makes sense, such as a quest that referred to an opening a hyur child or a lalafell could fit in.

Im happy to hear that dwarves are a beast tribe, as well as the Nu Mou, and Pixies. I feel like new fae inspired content is wonderful, and that the Nu Mou will inspire my childhood of playing FF Tactics.

I just have one concern about the dwarves. That language might become offensive to people with real world equivalent dwarfism.

Please be creative as you want, and be sure to make lots of fun puns, but as a person with a rare form of dwarfism in the real world, I ask that you refrain from the word "midget", mentions of "dwarf tossing", or any other offensive language. There just arent enough people in our community to be loud enough for our concerns.

I hope that the return of the FF dwarves is fun, and imaginative. I hope you express your hearts to its content. I just dont want very offensive, or stereotypical things in the game. I hope that we can all be mature, and understanding about this.

All I want is the game to not remind me of the bullying, or awful things I went through in life. I dont want that for anyone. This game is beautiful, and so much fun to play.

We already make those jokes with Lalafells, so your hopes are in vain. Besides, FF Dwarves have never been like real-world dwarves (nor have any fantasy dwarves really) besides being shorter than humans (though usually not as short as actual dwarves).

Dwarves might be the 'crafter/gatherer' race, so might not have one.

It's the NuMou I'd be concerned about as their TA Totema was Ultima...

We actually encounter the Buduga (male only tribe) in the main scenario. They're the ones dressed in green.
