So I was looking through the forums for the past week (I know, I know, bad idea) and I came across a thread posted by someone talking about linkshell problems or something. Look man, I read it once, replied and then left it alone. Yes, I have some problems remembering things. What?
Anyway, the basic gist of the thread was about people coming back into the game, and/or new people coming into the game, and not being able to find linkshells to join or something like that. Some linkshell owners chimed in and revealed that they still have new applicants applying to their linkshell but didn't have any spots for them, so they have to find ways to get them in or hold them in an area until they can be let in (when spots open up after repearling).
Any poor unfortunate soul who visits the lodestone and reads my "blog entries" knows that I created a linkshell (of which I'm the only member) for no possible reason and that it has no real purpose other than me being dumb and creating it. What can I say? Lack of sleep makes me do weird things.
Basically what I'm getting at is I can help out the linkshells that have too many people applying to them and have already hit capacity. If you can't accept anymore members into your linkshell but don't want to repearl constantly just to let a few people in, then you can send them my way and I'll hold them for you.
They can join Moon Tree while they wait for spots to open up in the linkshell they wanted to join in the first place. This way while they're waiting they can still talk and party with like minded people (people who will more than likely see each other in the linkshell of their choice) when they log in.
When you do have openings they can apply (if they didn't) or see if they got in with their previous application. If they want to straight up leave Moon Tree after going to the linkshell they originally wanted to join then that's fine with me. Everyone can consider Moon Tree a "Community Linkshell". Friend and ally to every linkshell that needs help.
This is just a spur of the moment idea, so it may not appeal to any of you, but I thought I'd just throw that out there. I've never run a guild before, so this is probably a bad idea, that and there are quite a few wrinkles in my plan that needs ironing out if it were to ever be put into motion. But if this does interest you then I'll definitely roll with it.
Everyone will have people to play with, even me, and it'll bring the community closer together. So yeah, if you like this idea then reply to this thread, send me a PM on Youtube [insaneshadow85] (I don't want to post my email address on a forum. I get enough dick pill mail already) or you can contact me on twitter (insaneshadow85).
If this wasted your time then I'm sorry. Just throwing an idea out there that I had rattling in my head for some time now.
