Tangentially: I wonder what happens if one play as Scholar and their fairy is out when around the Pixies? I'd imagine nothing significant outside a passing mention like in previous MSQs with gender and race. Hmm... and would Titania be an ignition/new summon for Scholar? Speculations, speculations...

A pixie is not a fairy, but a fairy is still like a pixie.

It seems like they might be pulling "A midsummers night dream" type of lore with them, but who knows. Scholar lore-wise, though the fairy is not an independent lifeform, they are a summon, and can only persist under specific conditions. Where as I'm assuming the pixies are just going to be similar to Sylphs, they're just a beast tribe with their own political "evil" and "good" factions. Which I suppose makes sense given the lore it likely pulls from.

The Sylphs, and to some extent the Moogles, already act like I'd expect pixies to act. Hmm.

These pixies look a lot more like FFIV/V's Sylphs than our actual in-game Sylphs do, so much so that I believe it's intentional:


Maybe Titania will fight somewhat like Asura does, with multiple faces. Or we might get a frypan or knife out of their beast tribe quests.

I hope they're actually weapons and not jewelry, like Lakshmi had. I would have loved to see some weapons for her, too.

It'd be cool to get pixie wings as a mount reward. I think they joked about that as a possibility on the stream, but I hope they make it a thing.
