I don't mind if Viera are gender locked. I'm just tired of shitstorms and would rather avoid it.

Disappointed that the scions may still be relevant because they are almost all insanely boring characters and there's too damn many of them. Was briefly optimistic but the extended teaser has dashed those hopes.

Unpopular opinion...
I think Unukalhai is actually an Ascian spy who is biding his time watching us from within.
Ok I don't actually think that, but I'm still wondering why the hell he has just been sitting in the Solar this entire expansion while the rest of the scions have been geting body snatched and no one seems to care. Somethings a little fishy.
1. Don't care about Viera, not really looking to change races anyway.
2. The new 24 man looks interesting, but I don't expect anything groundbreaking. Because after the first week you'll only care about coins you get, not the story. I don't really care about the setting, I care about interesting fights.
3. GNB looks interesting but again, I'm not looking to change classes so it doesn't really concern me. As a MCH main, I have other priorities lol.

If you don't like story, then why are you playing an RPG? Online or not, the story is the most important aspect of any RPG by virtue of the genre's very nature. Don't like? Don't play. It's as simple as that.Yeesssssssss!
Getting really tired of "muh story driven MMO" arguments, every time a proposed change to streamline the MSQ(which is mostly a single-player experience) or not have the MSQ gate nearly all content.
Crossover events demonstrate that SE is pretty selective about its lore and how that translates into MSQ or other quests gating content.
SE,please have more non-FF crossover events!

There are a ton of RPG's with lousy stories that are still pretty fun. Hell that describes at least half of the mainline Final Fantasy titles. There's no shortage of people who come to this game from other MMO's where the story is an afterthought looking to engage in the high quality dungeons, raids, or anything else that isn't the story. To be honest, as much as I love the story of this game (well, from 2.5 to 3.3 before it dropped back down to mediocre up until 4.4), and think it matters at some level, my playtime is measured in months and I doubt that the total time spent doing story stuff cracks a week.

I dont mind gender locked stuff, if only because miqote rare male is a big joke now lol (males are not rare at all now). Although I would say in general terms it's not a great move to gender lock something, telling people they can't have something just makes them more annoyed they can't have it even if they hadn't wanted it before lol (usually at least).
I'd add to your opinion though with my own. If SE was to only add one new male and one new female... I hope its gender locked because I'd rather have a new "ugly"/beasty race then more cute and pretty stuff (assuming the leak has some influence on this via "lion" like). At least if that was my only choice, and I couldn't say ask for two whole races or what have you (if this is truly the last race added to the game).

Viera Male will not playable, but Bangaa Male will be it.

Minfilia is one of my favorite characters in the game. I'm honestly not happy about what they seem to have done with her but it's good to see that she's going to be a big part of the game. I hope she ends up being a great character and that this change doesn't ruin here because I always liked her a lot.Minfilia is back. YEEEESSSS love that character, ever since version 1 /happydance
And Urianger toning down his poetic speech patterns are a blessing, was getting a lil old. Although it did make him unique. Love him without the mask too.
Viera, meh, just be able to add rabbit to my potato stew. Would much rather have had Ronso, but oh well.
Guild Wars 1 let you run with NPC "henchmen" upon release in 2004. So being able to use NPCs in this manner isn't exactly new.
