It's 2012, and the world is ending soon. No one has time to read my posts, nor I the time to write them. With that in mind, I bring you: Carnival - the abridged version

Philosophy of Carnival
The Philosophy of Carnival is to have fun with your friends!

Goals of the Shell
The goal of the shell is to meet cool new people and enjoy the games content in a fun, open-minded, and non-competitive environment. This is really less a goal and more just the way we do things.

If I was going to use simple and standard LS labels- I'd say we are a Social LS first > Event LS second. Sure, we do events and kill us some nasties regularly, but if you log in and greet the shell with a "any Ifrit going?", than you probably won't fit in well here and your efforts would better be spent in a LS dedicated to such things.

Scheduling
We do stuff together a lot, but it's mostly pretty random whenever there's enough people around and willing. Sunday and Wednesday night (9PM ESTish) are our current "scheduled" event nights- but no one is really obligated to be online (well I'm always around them). We always end up doing events those nights but it's usually only because there's a good chunk of members around anyways.

Who is Welcome Here
Pretty much anyone who's friendly, laid-back, and likes to have fun will find a nice home in Carnival! But bonus points given to old XI players, people with a large sense of humor, players from New Zealand, fans of PSYCH, and creative and eccentric minds (bonus points have no monetary value).

As far as levels go, I couldn't care less really. Anyone can hit 50 in a matter of weeks (days?)- I'm much more concerned with personality and overall attitude of a person when I'm filling our ranks with its quality members.

Applications
Applications are for jobs, this is no job. There's no way to get to know someone until you're talking to and adventuring with them anyways. So if you show an interest in the shell that's usually enough for me. (some exceptions apply!)

No one's required to register on our website- but if you don't you're really missing out! Our LS has a strong sense of community and the site really helps us all stay connected, and it keeps our large LS from feeling like a large LS. Also there are plenty of other perks to participating ! so check it out sometime if ya fancy

Hey man been on the lookout for you since you replied to my post the other day. I really like the sound of the LS your putting together i really like the casual approach you have with the game. I am also an ex ffxi player i had my pld at lvl 65 bofore i eventually quit. As i said before im just returning to the game and working my way around all the new stuff, and cant wait for chocobos and airships.

All Right! First dungeon run was a success Great work to all members involved, and Betty White who was AFK for work but with us in spirit, cheering us on.. I am sure..

My favorite part was watching this noob Jim in the beginning, where after giving an encouraging speech, he realized he had not even flagged the quest properly to enter!

After booting this lame guy from party, I hi-jacked my friends account and had a quick sex-change to take his place. And our traveling troupe of good-looking adventurers continued their brave efforts

after lots of class swapping, it seemed we spent most our time in a winning combo of PUG33/ARC22/MRD36/ARC37. A few deaths ensued (somehow, still mostly Jims fault) but we were victorious in the end! and danced with Toto-Rak's #2 most wanted: Sargas+Sargas' Babies

So great work and congratulations to all who walked down this dark path, and found the light at the end. I look forward to more adventures and misadventures in the coming days with you all


Now for the real purpose of this post.. We need Lalafells! We are at a big ZERO right now for this demographic..
