    IMHO it doesn't matter what level the tank starts at level 1 or 60. With deep dungeons like POTD and HoH used for leveling and level boosts for sale tanks can easily get to max level without ever having to actually learn their class. It is already bad but we always see a large spike in awful tanks anytime a new tank class is added, saw it in HW and will see it again in ShB

    With how tanking has been simplified in regards to holding/generating emnity... I wouldn't worry.

    The thought of giving a player who has never ever tanked a free lvl 60 tank is a really grim.
    Its going to be hell for new players who get stuck with them while trying to progress in duty finder and we'll likely see a lot of ping pong agro between dps on jobs they already know how to play and the scrub Gunbreaker hitting random buttons.

    It's going to be like what happenee with Dark but 100 times worse.

    They should have Gunbreaker starting level at level 30.People need to learn how to tank.Dont throw them in the deep end.
    Lv 60 is fine they got 9 lvs to derp around in HoH and I'll be there for it

    Leveling in this game is horribly boring, but it's like that with any MMORPG really. I don't know why reaching max lv 255? in Star Ocean Games to not feel so grindy and boring and feels rewarding, but reaching max level in XIV feels very punishing. Maybe I just don't like MMOs in general compared to traditional RPGs? :P

    Possibly due to the way you are "grinding".

    I have all but 3 jobs at level 70, and I never once got bored of it. But I think that's because I didn't rush it and "grind". I simply did the Leveling Roulette and Alliance raid roulette, and beast tribe quests daily, with 1-3 dungeons/potd/hoh thrown in.

    I think with anything, if you focus too much on it, you'll burn yourself out fast.

    It's not as bad on main jobs because you have the MSQ to help with leveling, so you have a fun story with relatively easy xp to help you level up. It's alt jobs that are a pain/grind to level.

    Personally, as someone who has every DoW and DoM class at 70, I didn't think the grind was that bad. Just pace it well and do stuff with friends. I found the jobs I dislike to be the particularly hard part.

    Personally, I enjoy leveling(To an extent of course XD) One key thing it helps is with building my company credits. ^^ Long as I keep spamming dungeons, roulettes and what not for levels. I can hoard the gear and turn it into creds for my FC. I got my FC to rank 8 solo while I was leveling most of my 70s XD

    I mean keeping aggro will be the simple part. Its maxing out the dps on the GNB that will take some learning.

    Also this conversation happened when DRK was introduced to. As well as SAM and RDM.

    And likely with every future expansion.

    @Arngrim
    Part of it definitely depends on if you enjoy the job and to some extent, the role as well. I find tanks easier to level compared to dps, mainly because I enjoy having control, when playing dps I feel an extreme lack of control, there's also the fact I trust very few tanks besides FC + static mates.
