There may be more females playing this game than other mmos like wow simply because of the FF brand, but it's still not even and definitely not close in Japan. That's just how their society is. And then you throw the whole furry thing in there because your argument has no legs to stand on, yeah. Class act. I'm done trying to have rational discussion with you too. Hope you aren't too raged come Friday, man.Actually, wasn't there a poll or something not too long ago that showed there is actually a large number of girls playing this game too? Or at least more so than the average MMO does. I'd think SE would consider what the female audience wants out of a male race too, instead of them deciding to cater to the furry fandom of all things. :v I'd venture there are more girls playing this game than furries at least.
honestly what are you even on about anymoreThere may be more females playing this game than other mmos like wow simply because of the FF brand, but it's still not even and definitely not close in Japan. I'd think they'd be more concerned with keeping their current playerbase happy than trying to lure furries to the game, but who knows. :v I wouldn't think they're that hard up for money.
We do? Well spank my butt and point me in the direction of the attractive hunk race - or did you mean default race 'Hyur'. Really though, that's all 'opinion' you can't say that a specific race caters to the 'females' in regards to 'straight women are attracted to this.' If the argument is; 'women that play female toons' then yes, look at all the races that have attractive female characters - that dudes like to play. I'm one of the females that don't play as a female toon - I know many more. Shrug. Again, all down to opinion.
Sure, for tera there's the Aman and Popori. Bless had the Pantera multiple people put out there earlier. Perfect World had the one tiger people. I haven't played too many Kmmos because they're mostly free to play but those are just the ones I've seen. I don't know which races are "played" since I play this game. Can you at least give some examples? And maybe add on which of those mmo‘s beastly races are actually played in asian mmos?
right of the bat popular asian mmorpg that i can think of
bdo: not really a beastly race- mostly beautiful female huma/elves and elegant/beautiful men human/elves (1 tough male „race“, not really beastly)
tera: maybe amani? but they are even more rare then roes
ff14: not really beastly races
blade &soul: not really beastly races, more of the bautiful guys/girls side (1 tough male race, not really beastly)
these are among the ones(asian mmos) i’ve played the most
That would have been an argument had they not released an expansion with only dps jobs. You'd think they would have wanted to keep their tank and Healer playerbase happy considering their retention is crucial to keeping the game healthy given how dependant the game is on the trinity.
There also wasn't a new race added in stormblood either, guess they felt they didn't have to cater to the players there either.
They already have those players playing the game, they already won them over with existing races. It makes complete sense for them to try something to appeal to a wider market, they want to increase their player count and if they feel targeting a certain market that they haven't really grabbed is the best way to do it they will.
