Would be the ideal world if we could get everything we wanted now wouldn't it? Though you wouldn't admit it for sake of "winning" the argument I am pretty sure the devs have given you plenty stuff you wanted already. Tl:dr grow up.
Of course they have actually. They've given us cat boys and lots of nice costumes but now my support depends on whether or not they add male Viera and dancer. Otherwise, I'll go play something else.
I mean he hasn't done anything, I calls it as I sees it. Nor do I think it is particularly rude to refer to him with the personality traits he quite blatantly exudes.
It's nice that you gave us [things]
but we also want [things]
Give us [things] or we tantrum
Don't you see how ridiculous it is? If you can't I feel genuinely sorry for you.
Do you not understand how buying games works? If I'm into X and have no interest in Y, and then for some reason there's a screwup and they give us Y instead of X, why would bother spending money on it? I'm selective with my time and resources and if I have to wait a while for them to get themselves together and add male Viera before I pay for FFXIV again, then that's just how it will be. There is a whole lot of competition in with the games coming out this year and although I love FFXIV, if they mess this up I have no other logical choice but to rescind my support.I mean he hasn't done anything, I calls it as I sees it. You truly are the lord of revelations. You just made me realize that by this logic I have at least five assorted reasons to be angry at Squeenix and cry about quitting. Even though I likely have two dozen reasons to still enjoy the game. Look, dude, you do you--though your reasoning is childish, I won't fault you for it. I'll leave it at that.Do you not understand how buying games works? Company: No, because I think your kind is a bit weird.
Customer: Then I'll take my money elsewhere. (Then proceeds to talk to friends and people on the internet about it.)
Don't you see how logical this is? If you can't, you're probably a White Knight.
... it really says a lot when you think a company is basing their decisions solely on the opinions of you that more than likely does not exist to begin with. That's what I mean though, some good things are not good enough, you need all the good things to be satisfied. It's manic.Customer: I liked my previous [thing] that I purchased. And sad to say I am not invested enough in this MMO to white knight it. I like it. But I am not going to get zealous about it. Pointing out asinine behavior and white knighting are two very different pieces of pie.
One of the main reasons as to why the worry about a genderlock exists in the first place is specifically because of Yoshi's opinions on masculinity and waifus. That's the point I was trying to make.... it really says a lot when you think a company is basing their decisions solely on the opinions of you that more than likely does not exist to begin with. I don't need all the good things. But give me too many of the bad things, and I'll pay someone else for my entertainment. How is that manic? It's simple business. In this case it might be the finally straw that breaks the camel's back for me. SE and Yoshi has disappointed and angered me on many occasions.
That makes much more sense. "I don't want to cater to creepy weirdos who project their fetishes through pixels in the game we create", that's something I can get behind. One of the main reasons as to why the worry about a genderlock exists in the first place is specifically because of Yoshi's opinions on masculinity and waifus. It's the internet, of course it's bound to come down to name-calling. I do agree that it only fans the flames instead of actually progressing rational and logical discussion, but hey, who needs that? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Provocation isn't going to make things better.
While viewpoints may differ and end on on different ends of the spectrum, people should remain calm and not jump the gun. This goes for both sides of the debate.
