Of course they have actually. They've given us cat boys and lots of nice costumes but now my support depends on whether or not they add male Viera and dancer. Otherwise, I'll go play something else.

Do you not understand how buying games works? If I'm into X and have no interest in Y, and then for some reason there's a screwup and they give us Y instead of X, why would bother spending money on it? I'm selective with my time and resources and if I have to wait a while for them to get themselves together and add male Viera before I pay for FFXIV again, then that's just how it will be. There is a whole lot of competition in with the games coming out this year and although I love FFXIV, if they mess this up I have no other logical choice but to rescind my support.

You truly are the lord of revelations. You just made me realize that by this logic I have at least five assorted reasons to be angry at Squeenix and cry about quitting. And sad to say I am not invested enough in this MMO to white knight it. I like it. But I am not going to get zealous about it. Pointing out asinine behavior and white knighting are two very different pieces of pie.

It's the internet, of course it's bound to come down to name-calling. I do agree that it only fans the flames instead of actually progressing rational and logical discussion, but hey, who needs that? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Provocation isn't going to make things better.

While viewpoints may differ and end on on different ends of the spectrum, people should remain calm and not jump the gun. This goes for both sides of the debate.
