Wheres the leaks? I haven't heard of this.

A friend over at GameFAQs, I think? It's an outside source that has predicted things in the past with high success rates. So far in most recent rumors, they leaked Gunblade as a tank. They leaked 'Adam and Eve' for the final raid tier that we have now, as well as Omega as the third fight, Chaos as the first and Midgardsormr. They predicted Dancer for Shadowbringers, too, and two new races, one of which was Viera. The second race they left out because it's a 'story spoiler.'

I'm of two minds of this. There's certainly enough room in the lore to allow for playable male Viera, and if they resembled their concept art, I would be very pleased to see them added. Their silence should not be taken as an inference that male Viera won't be happening.

At the same time, if rumours about a feline style male only race are true and they're intent on going down this route, I would have to see what's on offer. Ultimately they may set themselves up for demands on both such races for the other gender to be added. I've also seen little signalling on SE's part that they are fond of such gender locks.

On the topic of Feol, I believe they're the same size as Viera, so FFXIV would need to adapt them to be shorter if such a thing were planned.

I guess it depends on if you count the director saying he might genderlock viera specifically, and all the gender locked outfits, hairstyles, and gender specific versions of the same armor that's in the game and coming up as signalling or not.

Q38: In terms of new races, what kind of races are you looking into and will mixed races be introduced?

A38: I don’t think we’ll have mixed races for a while. Since it seems like Viera is popular around the world we have been proactively looking into this, but since having a rabbit male might be kind of weird, maybe we’ll look into having a separate race for the male counterpart.

Has the Kirin's Osode been datamined? as for vermillion cloak i wonder if that is pure glam or has eureka stats on it :s Also recently started playing ff11 that cloak is indeed all over the place on npcs so probably was easier to guess than others leak has more credibility not much but more than yesterday
