I don't want folks not to have their hrothgar males. I'm super happy for everybody who wanted it. I just think the gender lock is a terrible, terrible step backwards, especially as this falls into all of the trope categories: "sexy, flowery ladies" and "beastly, rough men". Had there been sexy, flower men and beastly, rough women as well, I would have been all for all of it.

The lore that they themselves create is not an excuse. Especially when it's been debunked (male miq keepers, such as myself, are rarer, etc.) time and time again.

I mean technically nobody reading this needs to have a computer, or a TV to survive, right? Do you really NEED windows in your house, or a car? Do you need friends? Do you need a smartphone, when you could just have a landline? Do you really need an email address when you can just write a letter on paper and send it by post? Do you need a bed? The floor's right there. Do you need MUSIC to survive? Imagine a world without music.

Just taking the "you don't need it, so don't complain" argument to its logical conclusion. Just because you don't NEED something, doesn't mean you'll be happy without it.

Misandry doesn't exist by virtue of the term involving a position of power. It's ingrained into a lot of those terms. A person of color can be bigoted towards white people in America, but it makes them bigoted, not racist - they don't have a position of racial power over the person they're bigoted towards. That's why Misandry is a concept you're not really going to run into often, if at all.

yep, always customers have the power. Also they lied to us, they said no more gender lock in 2.0, and not they add 2 gender locked races. They lied to us.

This is an entirely American viewpoint, and a misunderstanding of racism.
In America, race issues are black versus white, but those aren't the only races.
Go to europe, and you'll find that a lot of historical race issues are between different enthicities that would all be considered "white".

It was, I'm sorry I didn't make that clear enough. But within that context, the point more than holds.

Now where did I make that claim? If you meant more 'white people can't be racists against" or something then within the European context I'd say they're not even White, as that in and of itself is an American context, so the debate is all over the place already.
