Unfortunately, we do know that they're called Ronso in the first shard. There's no real excuse for them being male only when we know that "Ronso" have females.

Could be that, not like it's ever stopped them from genderlocking a race because of stupid reasons either - like how female highlanders are supposed to stay at home.
