I just can't understand getting so upset about what someone else's character looks like in a vidya game. It isn't hurting me any. I think trying to police the kind of outfits people with young looking characters wear is just silly. I don't have the time nor the energy to care. Hell, if you wanna be a sexy lalafell go ahead. I think you're going to be fighting an uphill battle trying to stop young looking catgirls/au ra from wearing sexy outfits. :v Like, some of these au ra girls look like preteens.

It's less me going sobbing, more me being genuinely disgusted. I guess it depends on the person? Yeah, folks already sexualise the damned potatoes which leaves me just ????? - those dressing up their aura/catgirls to look like preteens was a given, not that I like it but I knew what some folks in the community would do.

What gets me is taking a child/teens body - like Rielle's - and then slapping it in a swimsuit or something of the sort. To some people that look 'normal' and adult sized - to me, someone who studies the physiology of humans etc, it looks like a child (teenager) and has been linked into a fantasy race as the 'child model'. I mean, come on, there's a reason people with that body type in real end up getting ID'd or those who have a childlike face. Alphy is like, what 4ft something with a childlike face and extremely slender? He looks like a teenager to me, not an adult. It has been established that that 'body' he has is of an underage child. That body type is clearly for young elves who haven't experienced the last stage of puberty as they have their growths spurt at the end of it.

I'm fine with them wanting to be small and slender, it's not my cup of tea but still. But only if they do not look like their young children by default. Dunno, I never expected it to be difficult to grasp really? I'm fine with smaller body types; Dwarves from Dragon Age; Bosmer from ESO - etc. These are fine to me. The specific 'body' taken from an established 'child' model? Not so much.

If we didn't have those revealing outfits or anything 'questionable' then I'd be fine with it. I wouldn't have to see it - sadly we do and welp, yerrrrr. People can wear what they want in game, I can choose who and who I don't want to keep company with due to something that causes me discomfort.

Crystal Braves blew up in his face (as I expected it to. Alphinaud was being a bratty know-it-all snob and didn't notice the corruption happening under his nose). Spent most of HW learning from his mistakes, stopped being a bratty know-it-all snob and then turned the offer of being the Scions leader down; since he was still scarred from the Crystal Braves situation. He's not the boss of anything.

Anyway, playing through Ni no Kuni 2 and this fellow shows up. While I would prefer the Ronso look more than this, I suppose there's a chance we can expect the Hrothgar to look like this.

Irrelevant. SE has to make sure their games adhere to the laws of the country their games are released in. Sexy glamour and violence aimed at the player aside, there was also that one moment in the game where the player is drugged... and thinking back in early ARR quests: put to sleep and then kidnapped to be sacrificed to a hellish beast.

Hrothgar are going to have rough ugly faces cuz they're men only and will look just as terrible as the male Roe does in gear. Now that I think of it, Hrothgar probably won't have the same kind of attention to detail the female Viera got.

It means the race has only one playable gender. For now only female viera have been announced and many players are concerned that this means there will be no males. A race called "hrothgar" was leaked, so many think this might be a male only race. Gender locking is seen as a step backwards because it was around in 1.0 (no male miqos, no female roes) but it was removed in 2.0. So reintroducing it for other races seems a bit odd.
