Grrrr, mine must not be accounting for that hr they just stole. Stupid daylight savings.Ah, you are right. Tho, looking at FanFest -website, it's showing 1 hour less than your link.

My apologies, just saw that link on Reddit and assumed it was correct.
Well, there's the Fan Fest itself and then a few days later we'll be getting the next batch of MSQ's. So there will definitely be a lot to talk about.
5.0 isn't that far away, either. Already it feels as though 2019 is going by very quickly...

i dont think the lore needs changing,
since player character/WoL is always the exception and doesn't interfere with the plot or story like beast-man or garlean would.
and it's not like they don't have actual NPC examples who do the same. Adkiragh is a very good case of someone from the Steppe ending up in Idyllshire, so it's not impossible

Aye; and it's not like we know who those 'hares' were that freely left with the Imperials after they tried to take them out of the forest. They could have been male or female. It can be assumed that the platoons were dispatched in full units and weren't 'separate' from one another. With males being the first line of defence then it can also be assumed that it was the males that destroyed them before they even reached a village as it would make zero sense for them to let imperials go who knew the exact location of their villages. Of course, it can be said that it was female wood-wardens did the slaughter - but the females tend to be guarding the villages and 'bodyguarding'. It also doesn't make sense for a female to let an enemy go who knows the location of her community.
So, whoever left with the Imperials was either some of the males who actually decided to ask the imperial questions instead of slaughtering them like the rest of their squad; which makes sense if you wish to know more about your enemy that is imposing on your homeland. Or females who took the opportunity to use the chaos to leave the villages and be guided back to the Rabanaster. Though that raises the question of why a female would leave the wood with someone who's whole platoon has been slaughtered and is clearly the enemy? A good storyteller could probably figure it out, of course, lots of possibilities.
But the story about the 'hares' is telling - it could be a hint that some Viera have joined the Imperial forces either to spy/infiltrate or because they actually believe in what the Imperials are doing - or that some used the opportunity to join 'civilisation'.

Was there something in game that specifically mentioned hares leaving with imperial?

Yes, from one of the NPC in Prima Vista:
Company Tragedian: “You spoke with a Viera, you say? How exotic! I recall reading that following the Empire’s occupation of Dalmasca, several imperial army units were sent into the jungles to round up the hares and bring them to Rabanastre. As you might imagine, only a few of the soldiers returned… and the few Viera with them appeared to have followed on their own volition.”
Since the garleans brought them to Rabanastre, I suppose these were some of the Vieras that want to live in civilization, perhaps for varying reasons.

I wonder if the texts meant the term "hares" for males specifically, or was it just a simple derogatory term? If what the Company Tragedian read was of Garlean writing, I can definitely see the term being used for Viera in general. Either way this could still point the way towards either gender making the conscious decision to leave the wood considering how vague it is.Yes, from one of the NPC in Prima Vista:

Do you have a screenshot of this text? The NPC says something different for me atm, so I'm guessing that it was at a previous point of the 24 man story.
(If this was discussed earlier in the thread I may have missed it sorry. I thought I read most of it, but then again there now like 300 pages to sort through.)
