You can't prove that the teaser video reflected this. Every race's art distinctly depicts the difference, yet for the Viera the "difference" is so close that they may as well all be Veena. Here is some color picking from the image you posted:



The middle one that you claim is a Rava isn't very much darker than the other two, if at all. Just more saturated. The big portrait seems to be a close up of the middle bun considering the hair style and color are the same. Yes, all of our current race's clans have potential to be very similar to each other, but the promotional art for them always distinctly shows off their differences. The same can't really be said here, unless that's truly as dark as we can make our Rava Viera, which seems unlikely.

There will be no large male viera.
There will be foel viera that are cute but don’t have the pointed high heel shoe. These will have both gender.
Hrothgar will be male only and have the viera foot trait but no heel.

It's incredibly safe to assume, there was two of each, just like with the Au Ra video which is the only thing we can compare it to. As for every race's art distinctly depicting the difference? Really?

Which clans are these miqo'te then?

Or how about these Elezen? I can make a duskwight and wildwood look exactly like both of those.

Or the lalafell maybe? Sure only looks like plainsfolk to me.

The Roegadyn one certainly isn't showing a Hellsguard.

So, in fact the only racial art previously to clearly show both sub clans is the Au Ra one
and if you covered the horns/tails up, you'd be hard pressed to tell which was which, especially not on skin tone alone.


1 out of 6 is hardly grounds to claim every race art has depicted this. And if you had read the rest of my post, you would have seen that it's perfectly fine that Viera will have an overlap of skin tones because just about every player race does, even when they have completely different skin color pallet selections.

Except we have seen the sub race? The game says the distinct subclans are the light skinned Veena, and the dark skinned Rava.

The Viera on the far left could either be a Rava or a Veena, but is most likely a Veena to balance out 2 and 2 once again. There will certainly be some overlapping in skin tones, as this exists with plenty of the races we have currently such as these two comparisons of Duskwight and Wildwood Elezen, though I doubt you could tell which was which.



And some races like Lalafell don't even have any differences in their skin tone palettes at all. It's very likely Viera will have a gradient, where the palest options will be restricted to the Veena, and the darkest options restricted to the Rava, but the middle options will potentially be shared by both. The two Viera clan differences will come in the shape of other smaller things such as facial markings etc. Just like virtually every other race.

We only have one 3D model for viera however, whereas au ra had both Raen and Xaela. Every race has two 3D models showing both subraces, yet Viera doesn't, and again we haven't seen the subraces outside of the dramaturge's dialogue, we haven't even seen their 3D model or artwork yet. Which again hasn't been confirmed during the teaser at all, I'm not saying it's a stretch to assume, but it's a bit much to say for certain something you don't know.

Thanks but that wasn't my intent. I'm pretty sure that any new race will have features that match previous races. I just hope that we will get a muscled race that isn't as wide as Roe.

Lol, if they did that people would throw a fit at how "lazy the developers are". Not that they don't already.

Can't say I'm in agreement with the desire to look like a child. Maybe if they were a subrace - but I'm certainly going to wrinkle my nose at the idea of the males looking so drastically different and stuck in some sort of juvenile state that people will sexualise. Seeing as Yoshida is clearly against the idea of them being 'Cute' you can sadly kiss the whole 'looks like a child' idea out of the window.

If he's already uncomfortable with the idea of men just being 'rabbits' in the first place, then I can assure you that child bunny man is even more 'far out'. Honestly would disturb the heck out of me seeing them wearing 'sexy clothes'. No thanks. Shota is gross.
