Gender locked race?

Going to start the straight masculine sirens and half way through flip and then near the end as Yoshida's resolve crumbles and male Viera starts to come out flip again. Just to cry endlessly on how no one will play it but occasionally make long posts on how fabulous and pretty they are, and ultimately ask for it to be canceled because it's making me question myself and the community. Finally once its out I'll pretend I was always for it and say everyone misunderstood me and made me a victim for my heroic support and really how much I had to bear for the community to get male Viera out.

I'm going to call it my #currentyearpolitics game plan, it'll work flawlessly - so long as no one archives anything.

Less jokey though I cannot fathom, except on one or two reasons, that they haven't thought the demand for male Viera would be strong and persistent until made - such that IF male Viera is locked that male Viera will be unlocked and is already planned to be.

The only things that I think could prevent it is the two developers (either one or both) Yoshida and Matsuno sticking their foot down and playing the trump card "No bunnies, never". The reason I say that is because it would be very beneficial for them to have designs, concepts, story, and ground work needed for later releasing the other gender even if they're not ready yet (preparing the work as they move forward, making it easier and less of a sudden 180/u-turn - don't need to go back as much).

So unless there is top brass intervention I feel that they've already the plan for male Viera even if it's not out this expansion release because... many people will push for it and so it doesn't make sense to me that they're thinking "nope we will NEVER do it". Even if it's longer than anticipated I'm assuming they've got plans prepared.

Perhaps its like "if we get enough demand begin operation fabulous", otherwise shelve it for later when we're out of ideas (so how soon would depend on response maybe, with obviously a minimum amount of time that'd have to pass because it'll still take some time).

Also I'm just having fun lol. Like I assume you were. Were not actually excluding anyone, just playing up/having fun with the stereotype of who would likely want to play the gender/race - I'd gamble that would be correct as well (generally at least, but that's literally what a stereotype is so.. yeah lol). Yeah, it's a bit sketchy to give info as obvious as "I worked for square and now I work for cygames" unless there was a mass exodus from square to cygames because then it's like hey, there's Hiromi he's the leaker! (Random name) But at the same time all of these leaks and mishaps keep lining up in a row.

I really hope there are no gender locked races. I have no intention of playing a male viera, but from an RP perspective it's going to annoy people that want to RP them. And if we have male keepers I see no reason not to have male viera lore wise. Not to mention duskwights being uncommon in general out and about. The player character is an individual not a statistic. There don't have to be a lot of male viera adventuring for the WOL to be one.

Well, I don't think they will ever lock the gender for the races. Release two races, good attractive. Lock? Unless Yoshi-p nickname is Lahabrea and he plans to bring Calamity upon us all!

Those leaks for me are much more teases to keep everyone occupied til the new content arrives.

Side note, since we were talking about G'raha Tia potentially coming back for Shadowbringers. I looked the the key art some more, and if you look real close at the guy in the red cloak, I can sorta make out the startings of the miqote eye marks. I thought it was just part of the shadow at first, but they actually seem to jut out a bit from it.

Another odd thing if they made Viera have normal "flat feet" when not in their specific shoes, is that it would mean their 'real' height and the shape of their legs would change by that much when wearing other shoes. Changing gear switches out sections of the body model, and doesn't (as far as I'm aware) adjust the overall height of the model. Legs get longer or shorter depending on the shape of the shoes, which is maybe okay with low-heeled shoes but I think it would be too noticable for Viera's super-high ones.

Side note, since we were talking about G'raha Tia potentially coming back for Shadowbringers. Whether it's G'raha or not, I think it has to be a Miqo'te character, and those are definitely the eye marks. It doesn't make sense for how a shadow would be shaped across the face there.

Tbh I can see Graha's face clearly on this image.
The nose, the mouth, small head... and that mark. Guess he gets some new appearance and a few tattoos.

It looks like crystal to me. (It seems to be around his neck and maybe on his hand as well.) Weird effects of exposure to the Tower or something, perhaps?

(And out-of-story, a convenient way to cover up his Sharlayan neck tattoos, which would be a giveaway.)
