Gender locked race?

Honestly, I doubt they'll be 'bara' - more like muscular but not to the standards that is Roegadyn as that's basically the only thing Roe has going for it, tall and insanely chunky. No, I think if anything we'll be seeing something that is more like Buff Daddy Byakko. For some reason, people keep getting Bara confused with anything that is even beyond 'slightly toned'.

He has the perfect body type that can be very masculine or very feminine but still fierce either way.

If Tsukuyomi is any guide, probably Omega M or Byakko are teasers of more or else what Male Viera's body types will be. Both look really great but ideally I'd like it if they looked more like the old concept art we all know and love.

Posting that people can use gear and mods to make Hrothgar lookalikes while in the same vein stating you refuse to do the same to make your Viera dream happen, classic!

I shouldn't have to mess with mods on a multiplayer game let alone one that costs this much. This isn't a single player sandbox like Skyrim or FFXV and from what I understand mods don't even work across all platforms so why should I even bother? Release male Viera or I'm going to go play a different game. Simple as that.

Er, no. I don't like how Roegadyn look. I like beefy men who are classically handsome but not bizarrely proportioned. Highlander men are the sweet spot in terms of physique for me but their lack of eyebrows and the fact that they suffer from a dire case of 'same face' puts me off of them. You keep trying to desperately paint Roegadyn as looking like Pantera as an excuse not to add them. I'm thoroughly confused - since they look nothing alike and you then go on to post a picture that looks exactly like a Miqo'te but with bunny ears instead of cat ears. By your own logic, we shouldn't have bunny men added either.

Realistic bunny ears however are nowhere in the game and I don't feel like wearing the Gold Saucer tiara nor using mods. You can make your werewolves and lions through various means but the same is not true for Viera.

The amount of likes that a post gets around these parts is largely irrelevant. Only a small portion of the overall community even bothers to post here in the first place. It is also very easy for particular posts to be brigaded by echo chambers.

Some of the most highly upvoted posts on this forum, after all, are along the lines of 'BLU SUCKS PLS DELETE'.

So everybody else has to resort to using workarounds to get what they want, but you need to be catered to specifically or else you'll take your leave of the game? I'm in the camp where I'd sooner see both Viera and Hrothgar added with no gender lock at all to better appease every player. Yet you're really not helping your case by pushing your current arguments.

To be the devil's advocate; the male Highlander argument doesn't really work due to the face paint. The face paint doesn't give you decent eyebrows at all and then you're out of an option to have more 'fashionable' face paint.

I honestly wish they would just update the character creator and let all races have a muscle scale. Muscle scale, not 'toned' scale.

I will agree that realistic bunny ears are hard to come by, but they're not supposed to be realistic. But we can't look past the fact that Viera is and always will be a sub-human race and some adjustments can serve to 'look' like one. I managed to make myself look somewhat like a male Viera with the bunny ears, long hair, long nails and the magic dps boots from swallows compass (for the heel) - or whatever it's called. It can be done, but it doesn't scratch that itch. So I can see where you're coming from, but still, both ways...

I think we should step back from the whole, 'well this can be this but I can't make this' argument, as it doesn't add anything and can be turned on its head for both sides.

Honestly, if they make ripped male Viera that could be a good reason to race change for me too. I'm on the pro-Hrothgar side just in hopes of something I'd be interested in, since people seem to assume male Viera will be super feminine.
