Also, where is this displacement thing coming from? Wandering Dramaturge says they currently live in two areas. Nothing about them having to move or anything. I imagine the jungle that isn't Golmore is just Rak'tika.

I think the big thing here is that everyone is expecting some form of gender lock because we don't expect SE to give more than that. I'm hoping they're going to go all out and shock us with this expansion. It's wishful thinking; but imagine coming out with two new classes, the new zones and all that jazz - and then, when everyone was expecting Viera to be gender locked; wham - here's the male! Everyone gets hyped, except for those who don't like what they see. Ah, but that's not all they have. Wham. Another race. One that we were all pretty much in the dark about until the leaks and glitch took place. This is certainly wishful thinking, but damn, fanfest would be one heck of an emotional roller coaster.

Heh, just realised they're competing with ESO for this release as well. ESO's next expansion which is in Elsweyr - funny that they're going to cat land, and we're getting a big cat for a next race.

We don't know where or when any of the new zones are. Almost everything about Shadowbringers' story and setting is being kept a complete mystery. It's probably safe to assume that it's the Veena homeland in the Skatay foothills based on what the Dramaturge and devs have told us, but that's the best we have.

I feel currently like we will get a female viera and lion men genderlocked. I also feel like I really, really would like neither of those to be genderlocked! I almost exclusively play pretty boys and beast women in games (if I have either of those choices) so I tend to draw the short stick a lot. But I will definitely wait until fanfest, even if my expectations are kinda low, since nothing can be said definitively until then.

Regardless I love checking this thread every so often and seeing the discussion. I've learned a lot of things I didn't know about this game and other games in the franchise here. Keep it up guys!

So, if the Viera are retreating to the Rat'tika great wood, they either have to go through the sands and into a warzone. Or through the mountain ranges. Or the sea, you know... I don't think they have access to airships. And of course, the World Eater Alduin is in the top right somewhere. And I think that city at the bottom? Is the inferior city? So, all of the Viera there are seen as Inferior and second class? Well, more so than before? Actually no... can't remember what that city is at all; it's either Valnain or Lea Monde? Though, if that's not Lea Monde, then what happened to it? Think that can be linked into some lore as well. I also remember that one of the dancers stated that they sent a few legions into their woods, and ended up with only a handful returning back alive, and the Viera who returned with them came at their own free will. Doesn't say which wood though, seeing as they said wood I think it must have been Rat'tika since golmore is a jungle?

I think people are reading too much into the "forest fire" at this point. We saw one small part of the forest on fire, but we don't know the scope of it.

If I remember correctly, the area where the fire occurs is also the same one near where the Nu Mou are standing one of the promotional screenshots. The Viera seem to live in more advanced tree-house structures far higher above the ground.

Going to reiterate again that him saying wait until Tokyo was in answering a question that had Tokyo in the question. He didn't say wait until Tokyo for info on male Viera. He said oh yeah we do have Tokyo fan fest coming don't we?... Then he zipped his lips. That is definitely sketchy for an answer that's supposed to be saying info is coming
