55 to 70 on the cheap?

I'm curious about all the interesting ways people have found to level crafting outside of leves and collectible turn ins.

I found that by buying the material components needed to craft materials for the custom turn ins you can HQ them way easier and cap their xp rather quickly to grind out levels for cheap.

So far it only costs me about 4k to 8k gil per level between 55 and 70. Of course this requires using engineering manuals.

Any other interesting ways people have found to level your crafting on the cheap?

Doesn't get much cheaper than the crafting beast tribes.

    Beast Tribe dailies.

    Grand Company turn ins.

    Filling out your crafting log.

    Collectables.

    Leves.

Also, it depends on how much time you want to invest. If you go out and gather your own HQ materials, it becomes much cheaper to do all the HQ crafts you want for free. If you want to spend as little time and gil as possible, you can rely entirely on Beast Tribes as you get about 1/3 to 1/2 a level per day for a mere 3 quests that give you all the materials.

My only issue with the beast tribe is the limit. 1/3 a level per day doesn't really compare to 10 to 15 levels a day. Of course this is time consuming where the beast tribes take like 5 minutes to do all three quests.

Yeah, but it all ends up coming back to how much you're willing to invest. Be it time, or gil.

Beast Tribes are basically free, costing very little time and no gil. But are pretty slow for leveling up en masse.

While other sources would look to take more time and/or gil but would provide a much more rapid leveling experience.

Of course, you can always do half measures. Such as combining Beast Tribes + Grand Company dailies for about 1/2-3/4 a level per day at the cost of crafting 1 item and 5 minutes of time, mixed in with some other more repeatable methods to level up over a few days.

Or you can just spend all of the gil to get all the levels right away and then look to try and recoup your losses by selling level 70 crafted items.

I'm old fashioned, I make stuff and sell it. GC turning too.

Level my gatherers on materials, then rapid synth with engineering manuals.

I do collectables for the books, I care little about the EXPs from them.

While I did moogles and namazu, I was all 60s and 70s by the time they came out.

I know you said curious about other ways, but the best way i found is a combo of all listed here.
Gather your own materials, makes it completely free.
Craft the items with Manuals for more EXP, then turn in on Levequests.

I took carpentry from 63 - 70 in a matter of hours this way( (gathering was the longest part), AND made about 40k, not counting selling the random stuff, or resulting levequest rewards.
Yes you burn through a lot of your leve allowances, but honestly after doing that all in one day, i needed a break. But thats my plan for the other crafts, roughly 1-2 a week depending on how much i need to level. And doing GC turn ins and Custom deliveries only speed up the process.

I was going Moogle quests until the exp dropped when i had all at 60 -_-.
Good to know the catfish replace this. I'll have to pick that up too.

I was in no hurry and relied on the namazu quests to finish things off. I was getting over a million experience per turn in from these guys. Too bad I could only do 3 a day.

Agreeing with beast tribe quests and GC turn ins. I looked for the starred item of the day and turned in HQ version. Basically 4x XP in one go. The DoL / DoH levels went by pretty quick that way.

    On the cheap?
    Beasttribe quests
    GC turn ins
    Custom deliveries
    Collectibles
    Leves

When applicable gather all the materials needed by yourself. That way you won't have to spend any gil at all except for the occasional teleport.
