Crashing whenever I alttab on DX11, works fine on DX9

i use a dual monitor setup and whenever i alt tab or click something on my monitor the game stutters and freezes my computer while it tries to read something from my other hd.

Is this a recent issue, or have you experienced this since you started playing the game?

I'm assuming you are using borderless fullscreen when you do this, correct? Not fullscreen.

Additionally, can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

Well, not sure where to go now. I'm comparing my system to yours - the big difference I see is I'm actually running DirectX 12. Is that available for Windows 7?

No it's not (Windows 10 only), but no you're not either What DXDiag is saying is that your system is capable of running DX12. This game only uses either DX9 or DX11 (as do most games) so even though you have support for DX12, it's not being used.
