Pyros weapon substat roll system

Hi!
Could someone please explain to me how the substat roll system for the Pyros weapon works? I started with my WAR weap a few days ago and have rolled maybe 5-10 times so far. Yesterday, I finally got a second row on my weap, but today when I rolled again my substat was reduced to one row (changed from 80 crit and 110 SkS to 295 SkS).

I tried asking for help in the shout chat in Pyros, but the answer I got was that I should just keep rolling until I get 5 rows. But, how am I supposed to do that if I lose rows...?

When you roll, you get a random stat valued between 5-200 (I’ve never seen anything lower than 65) for one row.

You can have up to 5 rows, and each row can go up to 200.

BUT

Some rows might be the same stat. If you have 2 rows of Crit, then on the weapon, those numbers will appear as a single value.

In your weapon, your two rolls of SkS added up to 295. It was still 2 rows, but because they were the same stat, they show up on your weapon as one value.

If you keep rolling, you will eventually get more rows, up to a maximum of 5. You could potentially get up to 1000 in stats (200 x 5). It’s not very likely.

A “good” weapon will have around 800 or better total stat bonuses in stats you actually want.

On technical level, there are 4 stats and 10 possible values for each of them (range between 65 and 200). You start with one roll or "one line" and you can will get up to five when you reroll stats. Each time you reroll it picks 1 stat and value for each line, and same stat/value can be picked multiple times for different lines. This means you can get up to 1000 substats and all can all be the same substat, but it's 5 times more likely to win in lottery than get it, but if you get 700+ you already have more than Savage weapons.

Honestly, I read the in-game explanation and I read the posts above, and you know what I did? I just stopped trying.

The process is needlessly convoluted, the weapon is nigh useless until after you go through all 7 RNG hells and back and, quite frankly, I don’t want to keep doing any Eureka anything ever again.

We are being made to spend ludicrous amounts of time and effort on content we don’t like for some paltry item here or there that we might want. All of these items are buried under layers of RNG and said items are mostly glamour: minions, emotes, mounts, bardings. I will say it again: Eureka is an insult to our time.

Honestly, it reminds me more of the terrible stone based RNG augmenting that was added in SoA for FFXI than anything from WoW.

The way I did it is I started with 1 line of stat. The moment I got two lines with different attributes, I accepted it no matter what the values and attritbutes are. After i accepted the 2 lines, I then always get 2 lines when I roll. So I keep rolling until I get 3 lines with different attributes, I accepted it no matter what the attributes and values are. After I accepted the 3 lines, then I always get 3 lines when I roll. And then I repeat the same principle and process until I got 5 lines.

Who is making you do the content? Just get the 390 tome weapon and call it a day.
