You know what this dungeon needs to be interesting? It needs to be identical but take twice as long.

You can already do this. Shire gear with one ring of a different main stat = jump potion/ extremely high chance of being bad. Can toss in PotD/HoH weapons, tanks with non-STR melds (not to be confused with no melds) in their accs and gear ilvls (Tank with Bismark weapon in Sirensong Sea ain't going to wow you). For DPS, you'll find out on the first trash pull if they know basic math.

    Maybe they should be.
"I just bought a jump potion. I could spend a few minutes to learn the basics of the game and my job. Nah, I'll queue into high-level content right away and burden the rest of the party."
"I (a DPS) am being given tips to do more Damage Per Second in simple terms, but I feel I'm doing well as is. I could ignore the tips or look into them later. Nah, I'll argue that all this time billions of people have been doing math incorrectly."
"This EX queue is taking a while. I could watch a guide in the meantime. Nah, I'll have the party wait around and get someone to explain it to me once we get in."

They'll want to improve real quick once their dailies start taking much longer and in extreme cases won't even be completed before the instance timer expires.

    "But I like having TP."
    "And waste all that TP?"
    "Spread Shot? That weak move?"
"So and so Discord said Death Blossom is only a gain at 5+ mobs"
From four different DPS. All serious, all 60+ when told how to AoE. Then you have the DRG in O10N cursing me when I told them to read a guide for their job (they didn't use their Chaos Thrust combo once the entire run), being called elitist for pointing out the MNK in the lvl 69 dungeon should read a guide since they weren't using AoE, Dragon Kick or Demolish and the scores who will just ignore the tips. Bads going to bad.

Mentor system was put in place because SE couldn't bother to put in a proper learning system, so they had their paying customers work for them for free (unless you count the crown as payment), and as they say, you get what you pay for.

You can't queue into dungeons if you don't meet the level requirement.

Math doesn't change because someone is having an off day. Attacking eight enemies over one will always do more and in some cases requires fewer skills to be used (Scatter/Death Blossom/Doom Spike/Spread Shot/Quick Nock spam)

No one cares about players messing up mechanics unless it's causing multiple wipes. Talking about tanks that don't know to use their group hate moves at 60 and 70, ilvl-synced healers complaining about the ilvl-synced tank pulling big when they were either AFKing or spamming the same weak heal on small pulls, DPS that attack one target instead of all when 6,7,8,9,10 or even more targets are present.

Bingo. Kick, kick, kick. You don't even need to explain why you're kicking. Do note that if you initiate a vote kick and the dismissal goes through, you have to wait 4 hours before you can initiate another.

This is topic #564759423 about the average player being bad and asking the Devs to do something. Don't know why users continue to take topics like these at face value.

FFXIV isn't becoming like WoW at all.
So because you are unable to ignore the topic or further discussion on it, it should be removed?
