If there are no more bad players, then we are all the bad players.
If there are no more bad players, then we are all the bad players.
There are bad players. They're the ones that are toxic towards little sprouts and refuse to explain content and adjust their play to the pace of other players. The real MVP's are the people who actually use teamwork
I'm gonna bite, because I'm tired of this sentiment.
This game is pretty casual friendly. If you're expecting Savage/Ultimate level play in DF, you're playing the wrong game.
Most players, in general, are not that terrible. You just tend to REMEMBER the bad ones, and not all the times everything went completely average and normal. You are going to find terrible players, there is no denying that, but THAT IS LIFE. You will ALWAYS find people, no matter where you go, who care only about themselves, lack awareness, and have no desire for self improvement. You're not going to escape that entirely. EVER. Once you accept that and get beyond unreasonable expectations, you will indeed see most people are pretty okay overall. Some need a lot of help, some are new and inexperpeinced, some people are having fun and may not realize they're below some standard the game never made clear to them, etc.
If you want to fix the problem, HELP. Complaining about them doesn't resolve your issue. Better to get told to get lost than to do nothing. If you don't at least make an ATTEMPT to remedy a problem, even when you have the ability to, you're going to reap what you sow.
My logs aren't hidden. I do savage content. I'm not going to proclaim I'm a particularly excellent player, because I'm not. I care more about having fun with the game and my raid group than shoving superiority into people's faces.
But do I have over 7,400 duties under my belt on my main character (of three) ALONE. That's at LEAST 2,400+ more than OP. I put in the time for the 2,000 mentor roulette and have myself an Astrope (and yes, I did stick out every attempt at EX primals in Mentor roulette). I've done a crapload of content in this game. There are 7 duties I never finished or completed just after they were lockout removed/not longer current: Both Ultimates, A4s, A7s, A8s, T5, and T9 (not interested in Ultimate, Alex was static nightmare, and T5 and 9 completed within the week of lockout removal). I've played with a wide variety of players, in premades, pugging in party finder, and duty finder.
It's fine to have standards. But you don't get to be in charge of the "rules" of what is and isn't acceptable any more than I or any other player does. Party not to your liking? That's what the leave duty button is for. Someone being completely awful? You've got the kick and blacklist buttons.
You either deal with what you're given, or forfeit the time (and the potential rewards) you wasted backing out. If you chose to do nothing to TRY to improve the situation as a whole via teamwork (what a concept, right?), then you have no one to blame but yourself when you end with an unfavorable outcome.
This is a GAME, not a competitive sport or a contest.
It's ok guys, the full trailer will be up in a couple of days and these threads will stop... for a day or two.
I love threads like this, they're so baitworthily stupid that I can't be offended and it helps me fill out my ignore list before I get irritated when the jerks show up in threads that interest me.
eh ex roulette isnt so bad, but savage raids should have some kind of prerequisite to make sure you aren't brain dead before you join them. Being a solo player getting my savage clears can be questionable with all the people who just cant do mechanics
Itt people expect to always get good groups while running PuG. One of the reason why people usually run statics is to remove variance in player performances. If you only want to play with good players just make a group with good players (if you have the skill to match your teammates).
Either you need a static or stop complaining lol literally I pug Savage and do fine but I do always find a good group for the last floor becuase that usually requires some consistency. Welcome to PUG life!
well if I took my joke seriously (meant to be a hyperbole), removing the massive bottom line of bad-to-average players would yes, leave only the top performing players. but the result would end up being the same, we'd just start calling out low DPS players or low DPS healers or tanks who had their tank stance on for 1 extra gcd. We would inevitably find something new to complain about.
