pick selection for 24 man raid roulette? can we have?

I remember it being mentioned that maybe we will be able to reset our completed missions someday. That idea is a bit extreme I think.
But how about letting us choose what we want in our roulette just like we do for the minions and mounts?
Or be able to chose a side quest to reset? I would gladly pay gil for the option to use my journey book to pick out content I wish to reset and don't want in my roulettes (yes there's stuff I dislike that much/ only it's too late after you unlock it).

The idea of roulettes is for it to be random and also help to fill queues for players specifically wanting to do certain ones. I can already imagine the queue times becoming ridiculous again if players could pick what they wanted. The majority of the alliance raids (in the roulette) are not that demanding to begin with, although the most recent ones can cause a little trouble most are a cake walk so I can't see a good reason to not just see it through. Alternatively there is the Leave Duty option, take the penalty and try queuing again after the timer is up, maybe it'll give you something you prefer.

What do you think about the option to reset content ? You didn't mention that.

I would like an option to reset quests to be able to run them again but it should not reset unlocks from those, be it gear, items, duties or whatever.

The roulette reward is there so people would fill into a queue that can be used to fill parties of people who queue to the content separately. If you don't like what you get from roulette, queue straight to things. You can queue up to 5 places at the same time (with some limits) so there's your favourite list. If you want the roulette reward, accept that it is a reward specifically for accepting the random chance.

I know you all say the same thing about roulette lol.
The simple fact remains that if I don't unlock something, then it will never be part of the roulette <<

It's just my preference to run the roulette instead of the expert dungeons. I was just thinking more people would do them if they could avoid 1 or 2 places that for whatever reason causes them pain.

I think you maybe misinterpreted? - New Game Plus is not something that "resets" or "unchecks" things you've already done. My understanding of it is that it would simply allow you to replay certain quests, like job instances and MSQ. Not that it suddenly marks duties as incomplete and removed them from applicable roulettes and such.

That being said, a Roulette is a Roulette. The purpose is to fill queues, and giving people the ability to cherry pick duties would certainly mean some would have even longer queues than they already do (I know I'd remove Aetherochemical Research Facility from mine - it doesn't come up often anymore, but holy crap it was the only dungeon that existed back in HW it seemed).

Yes you're probably right. Very seldom do the features they add do what I thought they would. If this feature to replay content doesn't truly reset anyrhing, the whole idea is rather silly.
Kind of like when I asked for community gardens a few years ago....i like gardening, just don't want the house. <<their answer? Oh you want to farm?
Watch it'll be another doh class and you'll still need your own gardens to level it. ;_;
