Is there a way to get this emote / idle stance ?

This npc has an emote that I have never seen before. Also he is a male miqo'te just like my character so I wonder if it could be available to my character, as I find it more elegant that all the "normal" idle stance for male miqo'te

I think that one pirate Elezen in Limsa is using it too. I honestly would love the emote being available on our characters, but I fear it never will be T_T

Is that an Elezen emote only ? I find it really strange that a miqo'te NPC has an emote not available for random male miqo'te The worst thing is that I find most male miqo'tes idle stances boring or uninspired while this one looks different

There's actually quite a few emotes and stances NPCs get that we don't, although they're starting to give some of them to us (like with /converse). I thought I remembered that someone asked about a wall lean emote and they didn't want to because they couldn't guarantee you'd be standing near a wall, because they worry about weird crap like that, but I also could 100% be misremembering.

I never really noticed other emotes which were exclusive to NPC except the red mage miqo'te one, since my character is one, I would love to have more stances for every races, to make it more diverse

I don't think it's a "male Miqo'te emote" - it's an emote that any character can use, but only the programmers can make them do it.

I've definitely seen Elezen and Midlander characters doing it.

It's a pity - yes it would look odd if you did it away from a wall, and some people would deliberately do that to look odd, but mostly it would get used for its actual purpose.

I guess it might be difficult to line up right, if it can't auto-detect the wall and just poses in whatever direction you're currently facing? Or not actually being able to move close enough to the wall as a player-character, but the programmers can 'cheat' when placing NPCs. Or something.

I'd just be happy if they unlocked gender based idle poses for each class and you just flick through them with cpose. It's really weird to me that basic poses like that get restricted to race and gender, it's not anatomically impossible for any character to perform.
