Honestly i've never even seen it used until a random instinctual use (by me) just the other day in that one tower I can't think of the name. Last boss you have the 3 groups stand on the pads to put the shield up otherwise you wipe. Our tank was just standing there swinging away and would have surely died but I snatched him over just in time (even went through the shield) and survived. I got a thank you for that. I'd never seen it before then, still couldn't tell you the animation for it. But now that i've done it, I feel I can maybe add it to my arsenal. If anyone complains after I saved them from a mechanic they should have obviously dodged they can go F themselves. I may be the healer but my time isn't to be wasted on babysitting their HP bar.

Ive used it in a Similar circumstance, with Xande when he casts float then does Quake, one of the DPS went afk, or didn't get the memo, and didn't get on the pad.
Others in the party said something when i saved them, they didn't tho :/

It has uses, but very niche.

I use it all the time. Super useful when pugging and people forget about the giant stomper in seryu, dragon dive bombs, or other butt load of pugable content.

I tend to use Rescue when there is someone LBing at a bad time during mechanics and can generally pull them into a safe area before they get clipped.

It's rare I use it in those instances but they've been great when I do.

I've rescued far more than I have been rescued that's for sure.

If the skill is used out of the blue and is not assigned for something like a push-away stack marker, it really requires anticipation for it to be successful. This in turn requires the healer to identify which player in his/her group is the most likely to fail a mechanic.

The thing is if a healer uses rescue and you still get hit, it was not a bad use of rescue. The attempt failed, but at least they tried and you were going to get hit anyway. Don't get mad at these healers. Get mad at the true trolls who will use it to disrupt your DPS, or even kill you. That is much, MUCH different.

Rescue is here to stay.

I most often see it used by a healer mistakenly "helping" me.

Like pulling me out of a weak aoe I could shrug off as a tank, or pulling me to a "safe zone" when I was already in another one, or pulling me away from an incoming boss aoe when I still had 5 seconds and was simply keeping high melee uptime, or pulling me as tank over to adds so I could pick them up when I was simply going to abyssal drain at range. I see why they're doing it, but it's mistaken. Nice they try.

I haven't seen a correct rescue yet though.

I have pulled people onto the Atomos pad in LotA and into Duskblade pads in Orbonne. Basically, it's my tool for making people do pad mechanics whether they want it or not.

Syrcus Tower is also a great place for rescue attempts. Both Amon and Xande give the healer an ample opportunity to pull someone out of their one-shot mechanics. These two are also not an obvious GTFO dodge like with Phlegethon's ultimate in LoTA, and there is ALWAYS someone who is going ham 'bout to eat them.

It really is such an awesome ability when used successfully.

I usually try to move people out of aoes, if they are not reacting quick enough. Unfortunately i am not that quick either with Rescue sometimes..
Guess the best moment was in O12 normal when i negated a knockback which helped the main tank surviving from falling off the platform.

I'd never ever use it for trolling though...
