Since it\\'s inclusion I haven\\'t seen Rescue used for anything other than ePiC TrOlLiNg.

It was one of those funny the first time it happens, but is just annoying to be in groups with an EpIC PrAnKsTeR in it now.

Please drop this skill next expansion.

The amount of times ive saved people from stuff like over lapping stack markers rescue is pretty handy and would like it to stay

Since it's implementation, I've personally never seen it used as a trolling tool(then again, I queue as healer for like 80% of everything), so... anecdotal vs anecdotal?

The chances to use it for clutch saves are far and few in-between, but they happen. And it feels good when you drag someone out of an impending AoE or mechanic (and they acknowledge you for it). I find it too niche though, as many times you have to anticipate or even predict that your victimtarget will fail to move out of harm's way- and this is in part probably a fault of the server tics/lag/whatever; it's pretty difficult to use on-reaction because it's not dependable under those circumstances. It's... an ability that means well, but I won't deny it can feel clunky.

Currently my most satisfying uses for it are/were helping people on Rabanatre's Final Bosses' Gnawing Dread (with the one safe zone), sitting 2/3 on those geysers that need 3 people during Mateus and grabbing a 3rd body if nobody is getting the message, and if I see someone with the same HP level as me during the Construct fight and is not standing in the correct spot.



But yes, I'm sure people can use this for trolling, but I find way more healers forget this skill even exists and smart usage of it seems to separate the good healers from the "just okay" ones. After all, nothing says "I'm paying attention" like forcibly dragging someone out of a lethal mechanic.

I've seen some planned use for it in few things where somone needs to take mechanic to somewhere and then run back elsewhere. Rescue pulling with healer gives a bit leeway on where things can be placed this way.

Did it many times in those fights and it works great. Of course its a bit situational, but i find it quite useful in those special situations.

I used it in Thunder God Cid earlier to rescue a melee DPS that insisted on not standing in my Earthly Star during Cleansing Strike, forcing me and my co-healer to single-target babysit him. Worked quite nicely.

Rescue is constantly used in higher raids to get the pld or bard back fast to the group. Or it is used for omega 12 savage to pass rot as a healer to the explosion tank. I used it back to at exdeath to get the bard or mch back to the party for white hole.

My group is currently learning omega m and f. We use it on the spilt to get the tanks back on the second knock back. It comes to the user. If there trolling black list and move on.

I end up using quite often, even in simple dungeons. If the tank takes a lot of mobs and doesn't get in my Asylum, I will Rescue him in until he gets the memo.
I also rescue ranged DPS that are too far for AOE heals.
And no, I don't consider this trolling

As someone else mentioned, it’s used in a common O12S strat for passing rot to one of the tanks. My healers used to rescue me in O4S Exdeath after the knockback so they could aoe heal to top everyone for white hole. I’ve had some success saving people with it in various 24 mans. It has its uses.
