There's just way too many people who think that, just because they have an opnion, that they can share it here.

Especially toxic ones like "SE make this" or "SE do something about that." These people who just continue to whine incessantly and demand from others without regard to how their actions would impact others. Not to mention, how many times have you all seen a thread/topic made by a person who's completely new to the game, and figures that "hey maybe the official forums is where I can go to get helpful information!" and they're just met with this purely toxic mindset of "how dare you enjoy this" and "you should just ask for help in game," or even threads where, after making a topic stating "I think X, Y, and Z about [job]," they're more oft than not ridiculed for not being "elite" enough to "know anything" about their favored job.

If someone doesn't step in and make the forums great again they'll never be seen as a legitimate source of discourse, nor as a place for where people can come to for useful information and instead continue to be directed to places outside the realm and direction of SE staff. Utterly lawless places where, because it isn't happening on the official channels, there's no recourse for anyone who falls victim to toxicity from the playerbase.

To moderate the forum they'd first need to agree on a set of consistent rules.

So... can you please post a detailed guide of the things we're allowed to post and what opinions over those topics we are allowed to have?

I see this kind of thread all the time... Even outside of gaming... got new car recently... and I've been reading and listening to bloggers over that brand complaining that new buyers keep coming in and 'asking the same dumb questions we all talked about back 1873, and everyday since'...

People come to forums to talk... they're going to rehash the same old stuff.

I always wonder why people who find talking and discussion intolerable ever even bother to go to forums...

It must be some kind of intentional self torture...

The way I look at a forum is that... folks are going to show up, many of them will repeat the same old topics, many of them will not agree with each other. Some might even dare to not agree with me. But I like the conversation... so I keep coming back. And I don't mind seeing the same old stuff get talked about. I have some friends in my physical real life too... and no matter how many times the sun insists on rising again the nest day, we still talk about the weather... And even though I often know how well they're doing, I keep on asking how they're doing...
- so far none of them have turned me into the cops for asking those 2 questions.

Then, you must be blind, willfully oblivious, or both at the same time. You also shouldn't try playing the innocent card as well since you were trying to fan the flames earlier since I see that you deleted your own comment.
