Perfect response to the OP.... +1 for this. There's a lot wrong with this.
Profanity isn't just swearing. Using the profanity filter blocks cuss words, sure. But, it doesn't block other comments that you made. You were originally banned for harassment because you were aggressive and hostile towards someone who kicked you from the Novice Network for making racist comments. You were reported and Square Enix deemed it banworthy. You would think after just serving a nine day ban you'd be more careful what you say? But, you understand because people who make racist comments should be banned.
I cannot abide profanity, harassment, racist or sexist comments on the game... end of.

So if you come at me attacking my character and personal beliefs you bet you hot cakes I will say something and sometimes I let my passion for things come out with cursing so sue me. What I am trying to get across which for some odd reason a few people don't seem to get is I'm trying to say that the ban is unwarranted since the only reason anything was deemed harassment at me was because i curse while they harassed me and insulted me and that everything they said to me is null and void because i clapped back at them.
You're really dense. It's been explained that the act of cursing isn't an issue. It's when you curse AT someone. You weren't "clapping back" at someone because no one harassed you. Multiple people asked you to stop, you didn't, so you got kicked. So what do you do when you get kicked? Go and harass someone. Makes sense. Yet, you did nothing wrong. :makesyougohmmm:
SE has access to all the logs and review it when they get a report. They don't just decide to ban you, for nine days, for no reason. You went overboard and got punished for it. Stop complaining about something completely in your power.

You know GMs have access to the entire chatlog right? That's kind of why they ask for where the incident occurred, and an approximate time it occurred in the report as well as their ingame confirmation conversations. It's not just anectodal or cherry-picked evidence. Multiple GMs have saw fit to punish you for your behavior. Playing victim and sugarcoating doesn't help your case. You've said things such as "if you ask me not to do it you bet i'm going to do it". People have asked you to cut it out in the past (more than once on a few occasions) and you've ignored them. It's not just swearing. Have you considered people don't want to see comments about dead babies, child abuse, child molestation, the holocaust, etc. in a public channel, joke or not? Emphasis on the word public. While yes, they could blacklist you, that also solves no problems for others-- especially when it is done in an environment to help new players, who may even be children. That doesn't paint a very good light on the chatroom or the community.
I'll refer to the FFXIV user agreement here:
3.3 Profanity and Offensive Language. You may not use profanity or any language that a reasonable person would find offensive. The Game is for players aged 13 and older. You agree to behave accordingly.
This is not limited to just cursing, as was mentioned before. There's also a line between cursing and directing it at someone to attack them.
Square Enix has the right to take their product away from people breaking their rules. Only especially grievous OR repeated infractions result in permanent suspension. Feelings do not apply to the Terms of Service. If you have no filter, or can't handle socializing like an adjusted adult, that is something you need to work on-- not something the Terms of Service or anyone else has to accomodate for.
