If the person in question isn't doing any of that content, why bother?Nobody cares about logs unless they're running really specific PF parties, like the ones that ask for 99% players, or while recruiting for statics.
The number one breaker of statics is usually having players who aren't of equal skill level. It gets really frustrating when your group is being capped by a player that takes much longer than the others to get the hang of mechanics for instance. And that's where FFLOGS comes in during the recruiting process. So yeah unless the static is a lower tier one, most statics will expect you to have a log presence (at the very least in ex trials, preferably in savage).
People will usually look at the context based on your class. If you're a healer it's stuff like, how much did you heal, how much did your co-healer heal, how many people died, who, what's your APM, what was your dps as a result, etc. If your APM is decent and you're looking to get better most statics will be fine recruiting one tier bellow that of their members. If they parse blue, you parsing green is fine. If they parse orange purples are fine, etc... Just don't expect to make it into an orange party with green parses.
There's nothing inherently toxic about it at all. If you're worried people will judge you based on your parses that's mostly on you because most people don't care unless enrage without deaths is a real issue. There's also a pretty easy fix, practice.

Answering to main post, FFLogs itself, both program and website, aren't toxic. They are just providing you counts that you can use for analyzing your results. Or you can don't do this if you don't wish to.
What is toxic is community and that's the problem in minds, not in program. And if anybody harasses you for your logs in game - you are free to report them because they break at least two points of ToS with speaking about your DPS itself (so saying aloud they use 3d party tool) and also for harassment.

You know what they say: One bad apple spoils the bunch.
And even if the bad apples are few and far between, there sure is a heck of a lot more than one of them.
only people being against it are bad players
don't feed troll. he posts his own fflogs. LOL

Well I'm using the FFLogs for self-improvement now.
Since I just started playing summoners, I like to see how I'm holding up against other DPS.
I don't care what other people are doing, but I'm happy to say over the past 2 weeks I've seen my DPS increase from a measily 4.7k up to 8-9k now and 13.5k on AoE.
Probably still not enough I suppose, but my practise has been paying off, and I hope to be able to learn more about mistakes made.
So yeah, DPS Parsing can be a good thing if used sanely.

Posting in a great troll thread, hi mum.

Did he manage to bump this thread up a second time. This is by far the best troll I've ever seen. I'm impressed.
Make SCH great again! Seriously though, we just want our class to be fun and engaging again, not OP, is that too much to ask for?
