Experiencing numerous crash problems

Good day,

It is the first time since i've started playing that i use the forums because i thought it was not usefull in my situation.

However! Lately i've been experiencing numerous crashes (It started quite a while ago since 4.0, maybe even before but it was not as frenquent as of now).

I have the "DirectX crash 11000002" error type OR a sudden crash of the game where it closes itself without any crash message or warning, just yesterday it crashed 8 times that way and already at 2 today.

I've done reinstallation, graphic drivers updates (always up to date), i've done compatibility (i'm on WIN 10), i've done Administrator rights, my roomate also happen to have similar crash since about the same era.

This has been happening to a lot of people again lately after the latest patches.... Including myself, it has been super frustrating as well... I hope SE finally finds this bug and addresses it once and for all. Good luck!

I do hope that they finally put some time into this problem as it's getting on quite a lot of players nerves, and as i'm studying programming and such in university, i just wish i was at a high enough level to give them a hand haha

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When did this first start happening? You mentioned it happened much earlier but when did it start happening this frequently? Do you recall anything changing/updating on your PC that coincides with this?

Do you notice any pattern to the crashes? Does it only happen in certain areas or only while doing certain actions?

When you reinstalled the game, did you delete the locally-saved data (located My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV)? This is not deleted by doing a standard reinstallation.

It first started to happen with the DirectX trouble (1100002 something), at first it was more a non-updated video card driver problem. So i updated them and it stopped for a while (maybe a month or so?)
But it came back, so i uninstalled everything with the local files deleted also then reinstalled everything... didn't solved the problem.
The multi-crash with no error message have been happening more lately since 4.5, 4.5.BLU.

There is no pattern to the crashes, i tried to go underwater, to go in the sky, to change location, to do Raids, dungeons, anything up to chocobo races, and it still crashes.
I'm running out of option, as i write, i just crashed again. It can happen in loop, or it can happen after a few hours.... really nothing for me to guess it right now...

Try out after turning on the launcher, go into config on the launcher and turn on or off (whichever you have) the direct 11 support, and check if this will help.

Is your GPU overclocked?
