    Convalesce: Expand to Party-Wide Effect?

So I've really been thinking about tank rotations. For about 95% of all game content, it doesn't matter which defensive buff you put up. Sure they're slightly different, but aside from job-specific ones, the role actions are pretty similar (I'm cognizant of the Savage content knowing optimal combinations, but this idea doesn't affect that).

Convalescence could be a really helpful way for the tank to be able to boost up not only their own HP regain for healing, but the party as well if a big attack hits the full party.

Theoretically, this would not affect gameplay at all. Healers are expected to Cure III or revive folks faster, and a buff like that could add a little more helpful strategy for struggling healers to keep things interesting and offer more party-specific defenses. It wouldn't affect damage or defense.

May as well just make Mantra a cross role skill in this case then all melee DPS can do it instead, although there are also several other heal boosters in the game, Fey Illumination, Devotion, Nature's Minne. Should we make shields even more OP knowing they can benefit even from increased healing more regularly with something like this, it probably would effect gameplay to some degree.

I mean, not only is it then becoming another classes actual class skill (Monk > Mantra)

    But is it even necessary?

Are healers not already healing enough?

Are they struggling with AoE healing because for some reason Critlo > Deployment Tactics no longer works?

Do they no longer have Largesse that they can actually time for when they want it active?

That's my thoughts. Like, sure, it could become party wide, but it's not particularly necessary. Heck, even as self only it's not particularly necessary...

I'd rather it be replaced by an effect that actually has an impact as a Tank player. Like damage reduction, a self heal, maybe like a weird version of Bloodbath that heals a portion of the damage you take (AKA Quasi-Damage Reduction) or maybe get healed for a portion of the damage the party deals (Including yourself)

Since, it honestly, is probably the least useful CD available to tanks, given how much healers already heal for as well as their own CD's they can use to boost their healing.

Why? The only thing fun about Convalescence right now is knowing you can survive something without additional eHP so long as you get healed to the next hit's worth of HP in one fewer healer GCDs, timing it to Regen or in preparation for a (Deployment Tactics) Adloquiem, and so forth. Turning it into a raid-wide just makes that feel... less.

And it's far from necessary or even at all deserved.
