Novice Network?

Hello,

I´m a new player and recently started on Shiva (EU). Pretty much running around blind except for the infos I got from the tutorials, plus it would be nice to have a chat full of people who are as clueless as I am~

(and ofc with some who actually know what they are doing and are willing to explain).

So how do I join the novice network?

Either find someone with a crown next to their name (indicating mentor status) and ask them to invite you into the novice network, or shout in a relatively populated area and someone can probably invite you.

The only way in (as far as I know) is to be invited by a mentor. I haven't entered the novice network before, so I can't comment on whether it's "a chat full of people who are as clueless as you are", but keep in mind that there are also mentors in there, so it's not just 100% new folks.

It does seem rather stupid that you can't just join of your own accord. I can only assume it's to keep out the RMT spammers.

On Hyperion it sorta acts as a General Discussion of sorts. However to our credit, when an actual leaf does have a question, we do our best to help them out, then go back to talking amongst ourselves. As for joining, shout in the 3 main cities and I'm sure you'll get an invite, especially since we have a Valentine's Day event coming up which means the city-states will be populated with lots of people/mentors.
