Black screen in game - AFTER downloading most recent patch

I played it earlier tonight fine, in fact logged out for the maintenance (when servers were going down), and now when I launch the game everything is black, but the cursor is visible. I cannot play the game anymore. What is going on?

[EDIT] May be hard drive slow down, on my end. Just a hunch. Will update later.

Something was verifying/installing the background, that I didn't notice. My game eventually started playing like normal, I think that was the culprit. Probably resolved.
