Given the ease of transportation in this game where you can be literally anywhere in the world from anywhere else in about 2 minutes, I find the suggestion to be lazy as well as the desire for it. Currently it is as simple as pointing yourself in the direction and hitting auto run. There is no reason to want this feature aside from laziness and doing something outside the game at the same time. You mention people grinding but it wouldn't speed up grinding or help with it at all. Your character is still occupied during this time and can make 0 progress toward anything else in game unless you have an inventory sorting fetish.

So no, this option is found in rubbish mobile games or bad MMOs and isn't needed in this game. You already said in your earlier post about playing 2 games at the same time. It is not the devs concern that you multitask. I also don't want to see them waste time programming a system to calculate auto travel around god knows how many obstacles and variables based on your position.
