No, always hated that feature. Makes any game with it feel like a F2P Phone Game.

But really useful option the time wasted walking your character to Penny boss and Loui boss allow you to make other thing at the same time, for example when a player play 2 different game at the same time, or playing Eureka and doing other different task the player can divide the attention better.
