I didn't say YOU were lazy, just that the suggestion was. There is a difference.Yes of course you have your opinion but label someone as lazy because they made a suggestion doesn't make them automatically lazy, as I said before it has nothing to do with being lazy or not and that is a real fact not an "opinion" based on no real evidence.
Sure completely understand the suggestion from the original post doesn't work for you but it works for me and will work for others in the same condition as me.
Thank you so much for understanding!
He may not be but I will. Given the ease of transportation in this game where you can be literally anywhere in the world from anywhere else in about 2 minutes, I find the suggestion to be lazy as well as the desire for it. Currently it is as simple as pointing yourself in the direction and hitting auto run. There is no reason to want this feature aside from laziness and doing something outside the game at the same time. You mention people grinding but it wouldn't speed up grinding or help with it at all. Your character is still occupied during this time and can make 0 progress toward anything else in game unless you have an inventory sorting fetish.Yes of course you have your opinion but label someone as lazy because they made a suggestion doesn't make them automatically lazy, as I said before it has nothing to do with being lazy or not and that is a real fact not an "opinion" based on no real evidence.

So no, this option is found in rubbish mobile games or bad MMOs and isn't needed in this game. You already said in your earlier post about playing 2 games at the same time. It is not the devs concern that you multitask. I also don't want to see them waste time programming a system to calculate auto travel around god knows how many obstacles and variables based on your position.

Um... what?
I don't think you understand even your own words.
Netmobile, which the maker of the mobile autoplay autopathing MMO format you desire, is in Korea. The autoplay format you desire is their technology. This concept was made specifically for mobile MMOs that are played on cellular bandwidth small screen devices. The sort of thing people might play while riding on a subway in Seoul or New York.
Autopathing, autoplay, etc... is suited to a game a player is mostly watching and then only intermittently playing. It's used in games that are about monetizing microtransations to do things like buy faster pathing, buy fashions, buy levels, but skills, buy basically... short bursts of entertainment. Ideal for players who are too busy to play more in depth games, or lack the space to set up their own gaming area (my family in Korea for example - no one really has a room they can set aside for gaming, and if you just go into a corner and set up your space; it's very anti-social.
ps: Korean is my second language. I visit Korea regularly.
I don't just say we don't want that kind of game here... players who have it often really don't want it either... they're just stuck with it from lack of being able to support better options. It's a fallback solution to let you still enjoy gaming when life if too complicated to fully engage.
It also makes a game super conductive to over-monetization... It's like the gateway... it sets up a format where the objective is no longer engaging gameplay, but visual entertainment.
As for my "constructive comment": I fully reject this idea. This is NOT the right kind of game for it, and a step towards that direction would only end badly if properly pursued.

If it wasn't your explanation post didn't even know that existed.
Understand your points however doesn't change the fact that for players with my condition such function would help alot and turn the game more inclusive.
Tried in MMO not mobile whatever but PC MMO 3 years ago and it made a huge difference in a positive way.

This arguing each other is pointless, they will never implement auto pathing, they would have do it already if they wanted, this game is several years old.
Sorry its never going to happen.
To answer the initial question: This is piss easy to implement. Pathing for various objects already is in the game.
Because of that, if they wanted it they would already done it.
Also on personal opinion, this game has already to many convenience automatisations, dont need more to suck more soul out of it

I’m not understanding why you think we need this. What benefit does this really have? We don’t even have a zone large enough to justify this if we’re being frank. Between Aetherytes and mount speed boosts and Porters it should only take mere minutes to traverse even the largest zones on foot. Auto-pathing is wholly unnecessary.

I don't necessarily mind auto path in games. But FFXIV is definitely not the game for it, in my opinion. All the games I personally played had no zones and were just one big open world, so the autopath never broke and really helped getting from point A to B on those long treks, while I was able to do something else in the meantime. XIV zones aren't really big enough for an autopath, and the autopath would just break when you get to a new zone, assuming it will take you through the "gate".
Not to mention, you can basically teleport just about anywhere and be relatively close to the location you need to be, with the exception of a few places.

Yet people now don't chose to walk even though it is optional because it's boring and slow so they just fly everywhere once they can. You give them an option to get from one part of a map to another safely in where they can go afk guess what they'll take that optional thing . You also only seem to want this in a completely optional area as you keep on bringing up grinding and Eureka which might be the only place people would be ok with this as it wouldn't effect the rest of the game.
Yes grinding can and sometimes is boring but they've only made people do that in open world areas in like four times that being parts of two different relic weapon lines, Yokai watch and Eureka. The relics and Yokai one would did better using a mount than walking as you had to make sure you got to the fates and tagged enough mobs to maybe get to that fate that was about to end. While in Eureka it's simular but you don't have the fates pop on their own someone has to have been doing somethng to have made it pop. That and at least to me the moving to the next one is the part that's not boring as you have to pay attention to where you're going and who might have died or is straggling behind.
Too hard to netflix while navigating the world? Why not just turn off the game and just netflix? The game obviously doesn't have your attention if you're bothered by having to navigate your character thru the world. Time to find something else to do instead imo.
