Once you got the aetherite locations attuned and flying, you barely even need such a feature outside ARR.

Only on city maps. Anything outsite no, we already have the "hire a chocobo" function. Exploration is part of the game, walk is part of the game, I'm here for that and I'd hate if the game did that for me. Teleport is enough.
Yes agree with you in this point even in big city maps could be useful, outside with the chocobo function makes no sense the autopath did mention big maps where one player wastes more time such as Eureka maps because of the grinding.

Even in cities, this function wouldn't be necessary if the aetherytes were placed a little more strategically.
Like Idyllshire, why is there an aetheryte on the left side of the city map where there's no points of interest whatsoever, but nothing right down the bottom by all the crafter/gatherer stalls?
Why not place an aetheryte in Gridania for the airship landing, or the Archers guild? I know it's not a particularly long way to walk, but then you have others really close together like Arcanists guild and Hawkers Alley in Limsa.
Dunno because if you want to go fully inclusive you have players that like to walk the cities and appreciate the different cities spaces did refer to big cities such LL.Even in cities, this function wouldn't be necessary if the aetherytes were placed a little more strategically.

There is a chocobo transport btw.
How about.... no.
Then you walk? That's a choice you can make.
And it's a fair trade off considering that loading through a teleport can sometimes take as long as walking there anyway over shorter distances.
The whole suggestion here is about automatic travel so that players dont have to manually walk everywhere.
Exactly specifically on big maps where players waste more of their time in game and like to do tasks such as grinding, only gave one opinion that could help in my situation it would help.
Autopath as an optional function not mandatory for all to use, who don't want to use wouldn't be forced to.
