I don't understand your logic just because suggested the autopath function to this game need to leave game now? Is this for real? But what would I play then if both FF XIV and FE Heroes are on autoplay?
@Topic
Even if you can choose the path - do you draw the way first or what? unfamiliar with that - there remain those paths that can't be reached via safe routes, e. g. Penny's arena. You would need to stop at times and look at the enemies to sneak around them.
Not limited to Eureka, I don't see the gain, honestly. No time is saved, and if you think fundamental game mechanics such as moving and walking boring/want to have them done for you - just don't play that game?
Where did I wrote it was "boring" so sorry can you point out?

I said it as general advice - if one doesn't like something, one should not do/play that. But I did not specifically tell you to leave the game, right? Because that was not the intention of the post. No need to feel attacked.
I'm taking Lore way too seriously. And I'm not sorry about that.
And where did wrote that do not like the game... since when someone giving a suggestion implies that does not like the game.
Only on city maps. Anything outsite no, we already have the "hire a chocobo" function. Exploration is part of the game, walk is part of the game, I'm here for that and I'd hate if the game did that for me. Teleport is enough.
Yes agree with you in this point even in big city maps could be useful, outside with the chocobo function makes no sense the autopath did mention big maps where one player wastes more time such as Eureka maps because of the grinding.

But i am on topic. Wasn't it you who said that you want an autopath feature to play several games at the same time ?
For my part with gorgeous maps, and good soundtracks that fits them, i sure wouldn't want to use an autopath thingy to alt-tab doing something else. It is even a reason why i use small mounts with little graphic effects, to enjoy the scenery while moving. And why i have up nearly all my jobs to 70 with overworld content (fates, battlecraft levequests, tribal quests) instead of chaining instanced dungeons as fast as i can. I can understand how you got some comments on how you should be leaving the game, since you give the impression of not wanting to lose your precious time appreciating his atmosphere. But really useful option the time wasted walking your character to Penny boss and Loui boss allow you to make other thing at the same time, for example when a player play 2 different game at the same time
And flying in eureka would be a waste imo. (no i am not off topic, you were talking about that as well : "Dunno if SE will even implement flying in Eureka but that would be great! But if they didn't so far we go in 3rd not sure if they ever will. "). One of the good thing about Eureka is the huge amount of players you cross path with in a large map, which is more fitting of a massively multiplayer game than being limited to 8 players only in a tiny savage 20 meters wide arena. If people could fly in Eureka it would end the same as flying in World of Warcraft, seeing other players way less often, thus lowering the feeling of being into a mmo. And i dont even talk of how the last dangerous places would be skipped by flying other them, making travelling boring, or how all the low levels would have even less time to reach a boss on foot since flying players would arrive at and engage them more quickly.
Even in cities, this function wouldn't be necessary if the aetherytes were placed a little more strategically.
Like Idyllshire, why is there an aetheryte on the left side of the city map where there's no points of interest whatsoever, but nothing right down the bottom by all the crafter/gatherer stalls?
Why not place an aetheryte in Gridania for the airship landing, or the Archers guild? I know it's not a particularly long way to walk, but then you have others really close together like Arcanists guild and Hawkers Alley in Limsa.
In a public forum discussion, posts do go off on tangents. People will start replying to each other and not to you / the original poster. That's clearly what's happening here, so just let that side discussion happen, skip over it and reply to the people who are directly discussing what you said.
Again never wrote that do not appreciate the game and do not know where could leave such impression fortunately use more than one screen and when play FFXIV one is fully just for the game, others for random tasks when needed.
Secondly If didn't want to waste precious time with game wouldn't even be posting here a suggestion that could turn the game even more inclusive imo.
This is going in a way the more specific we can get the better for both of us and yes you were out of topic when you started the autocombat subject that I didn't had intention to go there.
On other hand and back to the topic the flying in Eureka doesn't prevent players to cross with each other because they would gather for each fate at the fate moment, of course it would not be fair for those without mount and for that reason I agree with you and maybe that is why SE won't implement flying Eureka, therefor suggested the autopath.
