If anything, ffxi’s BLU would be a vast improvement over the sad excuse of a BLU that was called “overpowered”:

• It was a full job with many different abilities, the combination of which would give you different buffs to suit different roles the BLU could embody.
• It had status effects that eventually built up resistances, but you could break through said resistances as well, applying the status effect again.
• It had a job trainer that had edge enough to cut a Lalafell, wanting you to awaken the beast within.
• it used swords(scimitars were the signiture weapon)and could melee as well as cast.
