Thread: DirectX Crashes Since 4.5

I am having an intermittent problem with DirectX crashes since patch 4.5. They would appear to be random, but usually happen within 15-30 minutes of logging in. Sometimes, they occur on the loading screen itself just after logging in. A few examples of activities I've been doing when they've occurred are, wandering around Limsa, open world content in either ARR, HW or SB areas , in a dungeon/raid, in combat, out of combat. So in effect, completely randomly.

I have tried many of the usual fixes, I have:
Reinstalled FFXIV
Reset Windows
Clean driver install with DDU
Tried in DX9
Clean booted Windows+FFXIV
Closed all other processes
Re-did the firewall exceptions for FFXIV and the launcher
Reset all overclocks to stock (GPU was never overclocked, just CPU)
Underclocked my GPU
Tried different hardware (GPU, RAM and CPU)
Tried a different internet connection
Tried an AMD GPU (my main GPU is Nvidia, swapped in an AMD one from my backup system)
Reset FFXIV Config settings
Booted into/tried to run FFXIV in safe mode, compatibility mode and every combination of those
Ran graphics settings as low as possible
Locked my FPS to 30fps, 60fps, 75fps and 144fps
Turned off Gsync
Ran in windowed, windowed fullscreen and fullscreen
*Note, these crashes occur on my backup system too*

I can't think of anything else to try, and judging by the amount of threads with similar problems I have found since 4.5, I don't think I am alone. Any advice at all would be helpful as the game is essentially unplayable at the moment.

Have you had issues with DirectX crashes in the past? Also, before Patch 4.5 was downloaded were any changed made to the PC? Also have you tried changing the compatibility mode? If not, please try the following:

To change compatibility mode, right click on the exe file (Default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn\boot\ffxivboot.exe), right click it and select ‘Properties.’ Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and select Windows 7.

I have also been dealing with this for TWO weeks now, threw in the towel, got rid of AMD card, went Invidia, plug and play OK! so easy no stress..... New patches make me nervous... good luck!
