I think normal raids should work similar to savage raids (and savage should be changed slightly to be less wonky).

Go in, do your fight, get an individual token and a chest for the raid. Chest has ~2 pieces of gear from that fight and any ancillary things like orchestrion rolls, minions, whatever.

You only get one token per week, and you only get one piece of gear per week (similar to how alliance raids work, where you can do it multiple times to get a piece of gear you actually want and not see 5 belts drop and go "wtf???", or you can say "eh, I dont care enough, got my token") but having done the fight doesnt lower anyone elses reward possibilities if you run it ahai , and doing fights later in the tier doesnt reduce your rewards for earlier fights.

Each raid in the tier gives the same tokens. While current, it would give something like "Deltascape Medal" or "Sigmascape Token" or "Alphascape Credit". Some named thing. When the raid isnt current, all its tokens, in currency and further dropped become "Stormblood Credit" which can be spent on any of the previous vendor pieces.

If 14 ever itemized horizontally (making secondary stats useful and giving people 6 months worth of gear with different stat weights they had to spend some amount of time figuring out how what was best and not just 2 different pieces each ilvl where one is CLEARLY better), you could keep multiple sets of tier tokens 'current'.

Working in something like that for non savage raids would be great. IMO the normal versions of the raids are never BIS when they're added and generally the gear mainly acquired by players that either play more casually and don't do savage or players that have leveled multiple jobs and just want to keep the gear on the jobs they play less often up to a relevant level for current content. It could also be helpful to players that decide to transition to using a different job as their main.
