Did the devs lie to us? Either actually make BLU OP, or unlock it

Aside from the 3 achievements I 100% finished the current blue mage in 4 days. That's pathetic. Sure my RNG was better than a lot of people I know (Feather rain in 2 tries) but when you finish this all you're left with are paltry weekly rewards from the carnivale. This "job" didn't even last me a week because for a limited job it has... limited content to do. Know how long every other job will last me? Forever, provided I actually gear and use them in my activities.

It's like trying to have fun only to slam full speed into a wall that reads "NO MORE FUN ALLOWED."

Let's talk about White Wind for a moment, and why it's not as broken as we all think. The first is the biggest issue, and that's amount healed. The issue with that is, well, it depends on your hitpoints. At this point, nearly every boss has an AoE that hits for a good chunk of change on the entire party. So now you have a heal that is dealing less than ideal healing. Okay so Mighty Guard. Now your damage is gimped and you are basically just being a heal bot. Couple more problems with THAT though. It actually highlights the second big issue with White Wind, cost. A Blue Mage can use White Wind less than ten times on their MP pool. Their basic spell cost is so paltry you can even give them being able to focus most of their MP on White Wind and you're still only getting that nine casts. Yeah, you have Lucid Dreaming and you have Blood Drain and Mana Shift and Refresh but A: That's mostly on other classes for aiding you and B: that's a whole lot of supporting one class to be a sub-par healer.

Long story short, its an amazing support ability that's overall fairly limited in its use.

What they "should" do, is Add more content to the Carnival.
Add mini Avatar fights, where you could actually do the fights solo. Make it so basically any spell that's learn-able in DF content, also has an instance in the Carnival.

Limited or not, i think this is a good idea. For the more casual players who don't have friends that can rely on to carry them through the DF battles.

Going forward, some Blu exclusive gear from Carnival would be a good idea.

Tomes for spells from Carnival would also be could also work. Call them Blue Tomes, get a set amount from each stage weekly that you could "buy" the 4 and 5* spells with.

And a level 130 weapon isn't out of the question. Even with M&M5 its solo content, you don't need to compare it to other jobs.

For the billionth time, they never said BLU was designed to solo old content efficiently. They said they'd have their own exclusive solo content. Why are ppl getting it twisted with thinking BLU was designed to solo all the things?

Honestly, that other slide makes it seem even more like Blumage is supposed to be Solo in all content. Both slides together plus the video showing a Bluemage (in godmode of course) soloing Shiva extreme gave a rather distinct impression on Bluemage's capabilities and intended use.

Exactly this. The whole BLU trailer is a solo blue mage, not just on Shiva - so naturally that, in addition to all the slides, gives the distinct impression that it would've been capable of soloing for a lot of content up to lvl 50. All the advertising material up to release had the feel of being misleading.

Or simply those of you that refute the slide were it states designed for solo play just choose to ignore the facts.
What more is to say when it is said "Designed for Solo Play" or "Not Suited for Parties", the later part is false because much of the content as blu you actually require to be in a party.
Blu Mage is weak AF and you certainly cannot solo all of the older content, the only real content it can efficiently is the carnivale.
