Unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FFXIV

Since about 6 weeks ago I have started having crashing issues. Outside of housing zones, my game would periodically crash. Inside housing zones, my connection would bug out, where players would stop moving, text stop scrolling and I wouldnt notice until I interact with an object like my retainer bell and I'm trapped and I have to force exit.
Now going into this new patch, I have reinstalled my game in hopes of some of these crashes would get better, but it has gotten worse. Now, my game crashes on launch

This is a copy of the error message I get upon entering the game. I run my game through Steam on Windows 7 with a Radeon Rx 570 graphics card. What other info can I get to help you with?

The issue you are experiencing is a common crash that happens with direct X. ave you tried anything else other than uninstalling the game and reinstalling it? Additionally, could you provide system report. Go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

Below is a copy of my system information. I tried playing this with Direct X11 and the crashes continued, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling my latest graphics driver. Please let me know what else i can do.

Your system report says that your graphics drivers are a bit out of date. You mentioned you updated them though, did you create the system report before updating them?

You can also try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

Ok, I have run the driver updater from gpu website, and its been updated again. I tried a fresh reboot as you described and tried a clean boot. Unfortunately, the game still crashed.

Does this crash happen on DirectX 9 at all? If you have not done so already, please try switching to DirectX 9 by clicking the 'Config' button on the launcher. Another thing you can try is changing the compatibility mode. This can be done by right clicking on the exe file (Default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn\boot\ffxivboot.exe), right click it and select ‘Properties.’ Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and select Windows 7.

I tried the Direct x 9 mode, and the game seems to double crash, it crashes but it gives me that error message twice.

Have you tried changing the resolution at all Check whether the game is running in fullscreen mode, windowed or borderless fullscreen. Sometimes changing the resolution may alleviate the crash.
