Soloed (Duoed?) an enemy almost twice my level. Did the old FFXI sleep strat since Blue has a sleep move with Acorn Bomb. Used my bird for heals and nearly died several times, had to kite a bit but was hard to kite cause it was a tunnel so I would still get hit and it hit hard.





Ended up winning at the cost of my poor bird. Ah the FFXI feels...

I soloed the Gorgimera FATE in Northern Thanalan at level 50.

The mob is not immune to instant death, so I threw up Mighty Guard, Bristle, pulled with Off-guard and Song of Torment, then spammed Tail Screw until it died. Took three casts and it was killed instantly.

The two nearby players whom I did not notice prior to the attempt that were hoping to learn the Voice actions from it were not amused.

I actually found the experience to be rather apt description of the Blue Mage job as a whole: for every one person is exhilarated, at least two more are bitterly disappointed.

Successfully made a whole party give up on getting Glass Dance from Shiva after solo carrying them for 5 hours.

I successfully walked away after beating blue carnival without getting all of the primal spells, knowing itd just be very time consuming to obtain them and have nothing to use them for. (No sea stone sky dummies to fight at 50 to check damage/rotations for console players)

I am four spells from primals away from being completely done with this job until new content is added.
