Fullscreen Alt+Tab Issue

Hello, so I recently got a new PC and everything seems to be in order, FFXIV is running great and have had minimal technical issues. However, for some reason after launching the game in fullscreen when I Alt+Tab from the game the window shrinks to the middle of the screen and the FPS is not limited despite having the setting for inactive window reduced FPS. It also gets blurry as if the 1080p is being downscaled to a 720 window. The fullscreen normal resolution is returned upon clicking on the window and everything is fine, the problem only occurs when Alt+Tabbing. This did not occur on my last PC, rather when I Alt+Tabbed the window would remain fullscreen, the FPS would be limited, and the task bar would be below it. Interestingly enough, if i fiddle with the resolution or swap to borderless window then back to fullscreen the "normal" Alt+Tab functionality returns. That is the window remains fullscreen and FPS becomes limited. It appears to only be an issue after launching the game.
Any suggestions? I may try to reinstall the game, but seeing as I only recently downloaded it, I dont think that would resolve my issue.

I apologize, but I am a little confused on what the issue is. Does the reduced FPS happen when the game is full screen or only when you change windows with ALT+Tab? Also have any updates to the graphics drivers been made?

The FPS thing isnt the issue, forget i mentioned it. The problem is when I ALT+TAB the game in fullscreen instead of minimizing the game or keeping it fullscreen the game becomes a 720P window that is all compressed from 1080p. Yes all my drivers are up to date. The issue is resolved when i change the resolution or and display setting then go back. For example: if i swap to windowed then back to fullscreen ALT+TAB functions normally by leaving the game in fullscreen with limited FPS while i have acsess to my other open windows. The problem is that this must be done after every launch of the game, in other words it is a temporary fix.
Sorry it is difficult to explain.

What you are describing seems like it is caused by it being in full screen. You may want to try having the resolution set as borderless fullscreen.
