Anyone else want a bord race? (Avian)

You know bords? Flappy bords. Flying bords with beaks that peck. Bords!




Stuff like this essentially. An avian race with a beak perhaps and some birdlike features, and to keep it in design with other races they don't have to go too too far with it, but just enough to make you think "Bird".

Though I'm probably the only one who would want something like this but worth throwing out anyway.

i wouldn't mind a avian race if they looked like avian like the Rito from Breath of the wild, because human with a beak slapped on from wind waker always looked dumb to me.

and

you could give them normalised hands with feathers on the arms which can come out of armour instead of wrapping the armour around a long model.

I like those designs much more than the "beaked humans" from Wind Waker, which always looked rather unsettling to me.

They're quite close to the Ixal and Vanu designs though - at least in a way that would make it unlikely we'd get a playable race like that.

I can't see "letting feathers come out through the armour" look like anything besides lazy clipping, though. Like the current effect where headgear hasn't been redesigned for Au Ra horns or with any consideration for how they'd put it on. Having rows of feathers sticking through gloves would be even worse.

JP mmorpgs seem to not bother with full on "furry" races (I was hoping for Ronso be the new race over bunnies cause I'd like to see at least one beast-like PC) for some reason.

While I like the idea of more options, I wouldn't want a race based loosely on another franchises races, as I feel it'd lose that final fantasy charm to it. I'd imagine, if they did do an avian based race, it'd be loosely based off a spinoff, a direct game (like Viera in the mainline) or a completely unique race. But, given that we already have bird like people in the form of the Ixal, I imagine if we were to get a bird race it'd be based off the already in universe Ixal.
