Messing around with glamours is fun! (And part of the reason I have multiple alts...)

I'm not sure if they're "iconic" but I have a few glamours that use unique job/role-specific gear items without following the overall style of the set they come from.

Astrologian glamour using the Lv70 relic sleeves and Boulevardier set - plus Adept's thighboots which are not quite visible in the picture, but the frilly pants tuck into the boots so you end up with normal-looking pants and the fancy belt.
(I love how perfectly the pin on the vest matches the sleeve decorations, even though they're not from the same set!)

Working out glamours for my Au Ra, I decided I was going to try to keep to things in the vein of "traditional Auri dress" (ie. starter gear), so half-shirts and skirts-over-pants wherever possible... so the Lv50 relic skirt seemed like an obvious thing to play around with. It combines rather nicely with the Pagos shirt.

(And then there's my straight-up role-subverting stealth healer. Ironworks optics and cane; Makai gloves and boots. Just need to find some healer-specific pants and everything but the shirt will be healer gear.)

Also, your stealth healer is RIDICULOUSLY cool! I adjusted the guidelines to be a bit looser because honestly, seeing people doing inventive stuff like that is awesome and I don't want to discourage sharing those designs! Made the one iconic element thing a sort of "bonus" and scrapped the bit about the weapons. Opens the door for anyone who has an unusual design but keeps the option for more specific experimenting if anyone wants it!

    Thanks!

Still working on actually leveling him as AST - the Lv70 sleeves were 'tried on' from another player. I like the 'traditional' mage robes as well, and for my female main character I tend towards pretty dresses for my mage costumes, but it's also fun coming up with non-standard costumes like this!

I think there's a lot of potential in mixing an "all-classes glamour" body piece with class-specific gear.

    Found a few more:

My "travelling" summoner costume that I put together for Stormblood after deciding that my aforementioned pretty dress wasn't all that appropriate for hiking through the desert. All caster gear except the pants.

Mage concept for my Roegadyn alt - I noticed that the design on the grimoire page matches the PVP caster pants really nicely, so went playing around with gear to match. I made this before the Rakshasa set was released, or I probably would have used those gloves.

And another subverted healer set using the Legacy Warrior armour from Mog Station ($5 well spent - makes good actual tank gear too), Daystar sollerets + Yagrush cane and Thaliak's Armlets. The gold parts are all the same colour, they're just reflecting light differently. Could also be done in other colours with the plainer Aurum Regis sollerets.

The pose isn't a trick, it's from the Largesse casting animation.
