Still on the "alternative healer concept" thought train - working through the Void Ark raid questline and I thought I'd try to make a costume that fitted in with the sky pirates' style and black/red/white colour scheme, and ended up realising that the Wind Silk Coatee not only fits that colour scheme but is actually in "healer colours" by default.
(And then I made progress on the Alexander raids in the same outfit and realised it's actually not far off being a male version of Y'shtola's dress, with the black shoulder-cape and red highlights, plus long boots. But at least he's wearing pants.)
I also wanted to point out the gloves, which are actually a neat combination of the Lv55/60 crafter gloves and 'leather wristband' bracelets. Some types of gloves will hide bracelets, but these ones let them show. I think you can do it with the Thavnairian gloves as well, and maybe others. Bracelets aren't dyeable so you're limited to what colours they come in. My best pick for this would have been the Nomad's wristbands (same colour but with a red gem instead of white) from Bardam's Mettle, but he's not up to that yet.
And then I made a caster version! This isn't actually the same shirt, it's the recoloured Ghost Barque Coatee of Casting from the Sirensong Sea. (Rather appropriate that it was used for caster gear when the original looks like healer gear!) This version stays black and lets you dye the cape instead.
(I wanted to make it purple for something different, and since black/purple is a common colour scheme for caster gear opposite healer's white/red - there's even a version of that rapier with a purple gem, but sadly there aren't any dyes that match it except for the metallic one.)
Also using the Chimerical Felt Skirt here, which is one of my go-to glamour pieces since it's the only unrestricted dyeable skirt with pants underneath. (Well, that and the Ramie Skirt which is the same model, but dyes differently.)
Also I swear there's no deliberate connection between hair colour and choice of magical discipline...)
