    Dungeon 900002 errors

So every time I get into a dungeon or instance, some way through the dungeon or trial, I'd just randomly get a 900002 error without any warning. I have done checks with the ISP and stuff, and it's nothing on my end (save for a few lag spikes at times). It's strange to get this error without any indication of "Lag" or things not registering. It's starting to bother me quite a lot. Would appreciate some help if any.

    Thanks.

How long has this issue with the connection been going on? Also does the error 900002 happen only occur anywhere else? Or only during the dungeons , instances and trials? Please provide the following:

    -Platform:
    - Ethernet or WIFI connection:
    - Other programs being used when running FFXIV

    Hope to see you online!

Hi there, thanks for the reply,

It's been going on since my re-subscription (November 2018), the error oddly enough does not occur anywhere else outside of instances, on rare occasions it does happen while fighting mobs/doing quests in the world.

    Platform: PC
    Ethernet or WIFI : WIFI

Things I run in the background is just usually the google chrome browser and Discord.

Still waiting for some sort of solution as to how to proceed with this, as it is still happening and nothing I've done has helped so far.

Another 90002 Error Welcome to the club.
You may have contacted your ISP but have you tried an Ethernet connection if possible ? WiFi can be iffy at times and for all we know could be cutting out due to Chrome or even FFXIV needing more bandwidth than is steadily available.
If Ethernet doesn't fix the issue and you have done a trace from your PC to the SE server you play on, I would honestly contact SE support if a Moderator doesn't get back to you soon.

I get 90002 when I play the game with an unlocked FPS or lock it at 144 FPS, works fine if i cap it to 72fps but whats the point when I can get over 90 ? In the end I contacted SE support since it takes ages to get help here sometimes.

    Thank you for the reply.

IngaToyo, I apologize for the delay in my response to this issue. Along with what Auron369 suggested, please try the following:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

Auron359, thank you for the input!

    Hope to see you online!
