The game crashes only when I am logged into my character.

Running the game in DX9 doesn't seem to make a difference. I already tried this before.
I switched the compatibility to Windows 7 but after about 30 seconds on my character the same error occured again.

When you updated the graphics drivers, did you do a clean install of them? Additionally, when you reinstalled the game, did you delete the locally-saved data (located My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). If not, try deleting it, but make sure to create a backup of this so you can replace it if it doesn't solve the issue.

You can also try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game. Additionally, make sure that you are not running any overlays while playing the game (Steam overlay, Discord overlay, etc.).

Try disabling 'Full Screen Optimizations'. To do this, please find the "ffxiv_dx11.exe" and right click it and select properties. Then under the compatibility tab there will be a check box labeled "Disable Full Screen Optimizations". Check it and click apply.
