This doesn't address the issue at all.
Ground target abilities have a radius of effect, as well as a range. If a target is 34 yalms away and has a hit radius of 5, it is effectively 29 yalms away for the purpose of AoE attacks. If you have an action with a 25y range and a 5y radius, you can effectively hit things up to 30y away. Given this particular target and this particular action, you can hit the mob, but it's unnecessarily irritating to do. You have to drag your cursor out to just-barely-not-out-of-range, so that the very edge of your ground target overlaps with the mob's hit circle; however, if you move it even a pixel too far, the cursor goes purple and you have to reposition. You cannot just center it on target with a macro.
The ground target circle should just stop moving away from you once it reaches max range, so you can put your mouse on or beyond the mob you want to hit, and still get it with a ground AoE.
